Why is Obama afraid of Putin?

Great job Obama Whitehouse. Recommend 1 Billion of our dollars in aid to the Ukraine so they can pay Russia half of their 2 billion dollar energy bill. Putin successfully got the Crimean peninsula back and scored a sizable payment on what was looking like uncollectible debt!

Putin wins again and Obama looks like the fool.

I think President Obama should resign his office and go on speaking tour for the next 10 years. Biden wont do any better but he is a lot more entertaining to watch!

In other words you got no clue of what the proper response should be in regards to the Crimea situation but you still find it necessary to speak highly of Putin and criticize the President of the United States.

Next you will be telling us that you are an American!

Obama needs to rally ally support to have NATO be able to make an effective stand and support Ukrainian efforts to protect themselves from Russia. Unfortunately, the EU powers at be do not trust Obama because he has turned out to be a weak ally. Just look at his treatment of Israel as of the last few years.

The Crimea itself is likely gone because in that case the people themselves identify as Russian nationals and voted as much in their last referendum election. Putin will continue to move on the Ukraine if he is not presented with a credible reason to stop. That reason should likely be economic first with sure knowledge that the military solution could quickly be activated as well.

Beyond the Russian States area, we are likely to see Putin getting very active in the middle east including Iran. Our best solution there is to continue developing energy sources outside of the middle and economically get out of that region all together.

So do you have a direct dial up to the White House and know exactly what President OBAMA and the EU are doing behind the scenes, or are you just relying on the chatter of the FOX talking heads…??

As far as I am concerned, whatever happens to Crimea should be between Ukraine and the Crimean region.

The Crimeans remind me of those wackos up north who want to split off from California.

Ex-Obama aide: Approve Keystone, send message to Putin

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2...

WASHINGTON — A former national security adviser to President Obama said Thursday that building the Keystone XL pipeline would bolster U.S. national security by sending a strong message to Russian President Vladimir Putin and other "international bullies" that they cannot use energy security as a weapon.

Building the XL pipeline will take years and Putin more then likely will be a non issue by then.

The best thing the Europeans can do is achieve energy independence by developing their renewable energy sources, hell, Portugal is now getting 70% of it's electricity from renewable sources.

Portugal’s electricity network operator announced that renewable energy supplied 70 percent of total consumption in the first quarter of this year. This increase was largely due to favorable weather conditions resulting in increased wind and water flow, as well as lower demand. Portuguese citizens are using less energy and using sources that never run out for the vast majority of what they do use.

•Hydropower supplied most: Hydroelectric power supplied 37 percent of total electricity — a 312 percent increase compared to last year.

•Wind turbines broke a record: Wind energy represented 27 percent of the total share, which is 60 percent higher than last year. This is 37 percent above average and good for the highest amount generated by wind in Portugal, ever.

•2.3 percent less energy used: Energy consumption has fallen every year since 2010 and is now at 2006 levels. Some of the drop this quarter was due to fewer working days and a warmer winter, but even controlling for those factors, there was still a drop of .4 percent.

•Not so much solar: Solar energy supplies only .7 percent of total energy demand, according to 2012 figures (Q1 2013 figures were not available for solar). This constitutes 225.5 MW in total photovoltaic capacity.

Build the pipeline! It may take a few years but will always be an extra asset in our back pocket when dealing with the crazies in the middle east. Our next President is likely to be a Republican with a much better grasp of world affairs, particularly energy policy!

Our Community Organizer only has 2.5 years left and will most certainly lose the senate due to his extremely low popularity due to his dishonesty with the American people and his disregard of his Oath of Office!!!

Crimean Vote to Join Russia Divides Ukrainian Families
Personal Divisions Are Often Generational, Reflect Broader Split Within Ukraine
http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB1000142...

An Estimated 80 to 95% of Crimea has voted to join Russia, despite the obama adminstrations efforts to stop the bleeding in the ukraine.
Putin has made bho look stupid again......and this time....it is a legal vote for Crimea to secede from the ukraine.
It would seem that bho has applied the a-nus touch to yet another crisis.

It is funny, but the conservative moron from Clearlake is the only one who thinks the Crimean vote to secede was legal, oh I am sorry…

the very conservative Mr Putin also happens to think that the vote was legal, it is interesting to see how Putin influences failed conservative minds in America.

obama is pathetically weak. He doesn't speak softy, he projects weakness on purpose and has no intent to do anything but change the world order. He intends to hand the stick over to be used against us. He is doing what he pledged to do and doing all he can do to destroy this country. He is a treasonous treaters and must be dealt with as such! If this country survives what you communist/socialist treaters are doing, which we will, you will pay dearly for what you have done!
