"From Obamacare's death panels to California's death permits, every aspect of Californian lives are overregulated, LaMalfa said. This bill is an obvious example of what's wrong and a chance to eliminate another layer of unneeded bureaucracy."
No such "death panels" exist other than in the paranoid fears of right-wing extremists, and I dare say that not EVERY aspect of our lives are overregulated, otherwise we wouldn't allow zealots like LaMalfa and Herger in elected offices.
Given the recent suspicious burial of a man by his backyard BBQ pit and the incineration of the mother in Corning by her kids, it seem reasonable that a permit be required for burials, if for no other reason than to rule out foul play and ensure traceability of remains.
I wish our representatives would focus upon following our laws rather than fighting them...
