I have already discontinued shopping at stores in San Jose because their stupid ban on "free" bags in grocery and hardware stores. Btw, this bill does not actually ban the bags, it just requires the customer to pay for them.

I'm not sure on this but I think the bill is basically worded to release retailers from the obligation to provide them free of charge, I might be stoopid

Here in mendocino the new rules for bags require that the bags be of a specific size, color, and be made of a clearly marked approved renewable source from a list of same. The bags must be used each time, new bags are to be evaluated and cert'd and then carded. They are sooo heavy.
Comptche Teaparty needs yew.

The California ruling class politicians are anti-consumer - anti-taxpayer. On the other hand, they act to protect their pals, overcharging unionized grocers. Easily degradable carry bags have been developed and used by more advanced nations for years. Those bags are usually made from corn or other environmentally friendly base components. Aquatic life love to eat them. Plants grow healthy and produce much fruit when those bags are shredded and made into mulch.

The threat to public health inherent with "disease spreading" reusable carry bags is well documented. In addition, carry bags made from reusable sources use scarce water resources that the State can ill afford due to cyclical drought conditions.

Whenever possible, California consumers should purchase goods from "consumer friendly" retailers who are located outside the State. Their goods will be provided with sturdy packaging and shipped directly to their homes via efficient UPS trucks.

BLESS YOU, we sure as poo need more of these here corrections. You caught the dummy fake poster libertorinas from sebastopol. We demand more training in the three "R" baseline of skills. That is why we must stop education as we now know it. Stop it for ten years; close all schools and colleges and universities...for ten years. Once the dust settles, then we can begin to use the money saved to open faith based academies of scriptural study. THEN we will be in the know.
Thank GOD for the Teaparty...We will WIN with God!
