Little confused? Is there new actions against Dr. Morgan or is the ER rehashing old news from 1998-2002?

Most of this was previously reported. It's been in the record for years. I'm confused, too.

Someone must have an axe to grind. I don't remember reading anything about Dr. Morgan in the past, I would have noticed since I know a family member. Why now?

50 years of helping people feel good about themselves, and this is the worst they could come up with?

Now I'd like to read about all the lives that he has changed for the better.

Revoke his license. A woman died from his negligence and his bedside mannerisms are horrendous & illegal at that.

CHICO — A Chico plastic surgeon has been disciplined by the state Medical Board after being accused of unprofessional conduct, negligence and incompetence.
Dr. Loren R. Morgan had his medical license revoked by the board. However, the revocation was stayed, and Morgan is being allowed to practice, under certain conditions, during a five-year probation period.

This was JUST handed down... now tell me what was so difficult to understand? I'm now a little suspecious when reading other posts by you people that dispute this article... yes 2002 was a while ago and that is how long the wheels of justice turn...

I would be afraid to have this man treat me or my family. Thank you ER for keeping me informed to the outcome of this case.

Yeah, is this the WORST they have on him? All he's done is sexually assault women, assault other patients, perform unnecessary procedures and... oh yeah, killed a patient.

Dr Morgan sewed our son's finger back on perfectly when the ER doc didn't want anything to do with helping us. That was back in 1999. He was professional and followed up efficiently. Not only has he already treated my family, I would not hesitate to go back again for myself or my family. He has helped many of our family and friends throughout the years. All with great success. And for all you dirty laundry seekers, I'm not talking about what you would think the stereotypical plastic surgery would be. I am talking about facial wounds, skin cancers, repairing a hand so it would work again. Things a lot of Docs don't want to do like when our son's finger was amputated accidentally. Thank you Dr. Morgan.

From personal experience I can say this man is a menace. Many things go unreported. He's abusive, arrogant and those are his finer points.

How about the doctor's negligence we don't hear about? I have to agree with the others.. why is this being reported in 2009? Do people ever get a "chance" to change? By revisiting the past, I don't see how that is beneficial to any. I know doctors in this community that destroyed other people's lives and the doctor is still "practicing" medicine. For the cases that get reported you can look up their license before making an appointment to see them. We don't need to rely on the er to"re-hash" old news. Maybe this doctor sought the help he needed, or made some genuine changes.. we wouldn't hear about it if in fact, it did happen. A good example of keeping people down. It would be wonderful to hear the positive changes that some people make when they have faced and acknowledge their mistakes. We have choices who we make appointments to see. It is up to us to do our own research and make a decision.

LOL... anyone that sticks up for him would drink his poison kool aid if he told you it would make you feel younger & cure your ailments!

Is there anywhere I can post the pics of Dr. Dicks handywork?

I have pics, I have proof.

I am not afraid anymore. I was afraid to report him as he promised me he would fix me... then he decided to charge me... I ran as fast as I could. I was raised where we turn the other cheek. It is stupid on my part, I admit.

Remember- the statistic where people always pass the word on the bad, and very few pass the good... well I make sure that anyone mentions they want plastic surgery to stay the heck away from this scalpel wielding devil.

He is not the "Plastic Jesus" people make him out to be!

He had a nurse that worked for him 15-20 years, and the nurse left. What does that tell you? Most of his staff from this time of the incidents are gone last I heard. Do you blame them?

Well when the state takes away his license, he can result "brainwashing" people on his Amway/Quixtar scam. Seriously, this SOB is a brainwashing BSer.

I hated him for many years. Im over it, but I will never forget what he did to my body. I thank the people that turned him in. Thank you so much for having the guts to do what I could not. Thank you, as I am not afraid of Dr. Dick anymore.

I pray that someday he makes it right with all of his victims.

Justice has not prevailed yet... he needs to pay for the mistakes he has done. I realize no one is perfect, but you must stand behind your services and not maim or assault people, scalpel or no scalpel!

To Workingman-

He promised me he would fix me, no charge, "give it a couple of years to heal and lets see from there"... I had 110% confidence in him at the time. He talks a great game!

Guess what? I went back, he wanted to charge me to fix his mistakes... Guess what again? Statue of Limitations-OUT!!!! Yup he won. He had his "chance" to "change" the situation.

No one in the north state would touch the case... as he is on the Attorney's list of who they call for "expert witnesses". See, great game of BS...

The point of this is, he has not changed. He does not stand behind his work. He is a perv that has assaulted patients, says nasty things to them.

He has had plenty of chances to change... has he NO!!! Has he called his former patients he screwed up on and offer them an apology, admitted he was wrong? I have NEVER received that phone call, letter, email, etc! People keeping people down??? I think not... Think of what he did to his patients!

It would be a cold day in hell and when pigs grow wings when he changes and makes things right with his patients/victims. He is a looked upon by some as a "Plastic Surgery God".

Are you stating facts or allegations. I hope for the sake of a fine surgeon's reputation you are stating facts.
This surgeon has dedicated his life to helping other people and many times in cases without pay. He has changed the life of others who were greatly disfigured and gave them hope at a more normal life. To knowingly print an article so damaging to a person's character for sake of circulation and drama personally saddens this reader. God have mercy on you.

Susan- post your email address and I will be more than happy to send you pictures... how much more facts do YOU need?

I was disfigured by him... yes for sure he changed my life! Drug out the time so I had absolutely NO RECOURSE!!!! go on Ca state board licensing and look it up. It is not a lie. I am glad he was turned in... I hope more come forward! I am not the only one, as there have been others.

He is not allowed to practice very many places because of his pompous "God of Plastic Surgery" Attitude. I went to him because I was told he was the best... Obviously it was a bad choice... and I am living with that.

God have mercy on you for standing up for a cannibal!

Thank God!!! The man is a butcher and does what he wants. As with so much in health care, it is only addressed after MANY years of complaints by the nurses and staff who have to put up with the abuse. From someone who witnessed what he did, I feel sorry for those who think he is great. Old stuff - I can guarentee it will go on as long as he has a license.

If he is so bad, how come so many more people kept going to him after these problems started 10 years ago???

Chico is a small town so why doesn't he grapevine get to everyone there when there is someone truly doing "bad" things?

Morgan Victim, go see Dr Kevin Meyers, he is a great Plastic surgeon and a awesome person...

Personally Just one of the complaints about Dr Morgan would make me not want to see him.

He should not be allowed to practice anymore. I work in Surgery at Enloe and you can talk to anyone here that was around when he was allowed to practice here and they will all tell you that he was a horrible doctor. I feel sorry for his victims.

Thanks Chico Mom... already went to another surgeon and he did a wonderful job fixing the the "Butte Butchers" mistake.

I agree with you 110% he should not be allowed to practice. I have talked to several people who work as nurses, medical staff, etc. at different medical facilities and they all say the same thing... he is horrible!

It is so sad this has gone on in the community AND the medical field.

I wish 60 Minutes, Dateline, etc would come up and check it out!
