Nobama does NOT need concurrence with anyone. He is the commander in chief and could order the strike right now....if he had the balls.
Clinton did it in kosovo, but nobama? is scared.
So, he is doing what he is good at....playing politics.....with peoples lives.
While military action in Syria would be based on a legal argument similar to the one given for Libya, the U.S. this time would have to act without the backing of the United Nations. Chesney said the situation now is more comparable to President Clinton's use of force in Kosovo in 1999
wassup dummy? You! I never said Obama needed concurrence with anyone.

For gawds sake man, if you don't understand what you're reading, get some help.

It was a shrewd move on President OBAMAS part to throw the hot potato into Congress's court rather than take unilateral action...
That will force the T publicans to do something for a change and show everyone what they are made off...
If they approve the attack on ASSAD's military resources President OBAMA, the Syrian citizens, America and the world win.
If the T publican Congress says no to the offensive they will temporarily embarrass America for abandoning those in need, and more than likely they will be voted out and President OBAMA still could launch an attack...

Definitely not.
The pres. has got himself out on a limb...alone......by his own doing.
No U.N. backing, no backing by the British, no backing from most of the people in the U.S.
Nope, it is not our job to police the entire world.
Where the heck is the U.N.????????
Let someone else do it this time.

Since its introduction, about 6,000 Tomahawks have been manufactured, with 2,000 fired in combat. The Tomahawk is now facing anti-cruise missile surface-to-air missile threats. To counter this, the U.S. is developing a successor to the Tomahawk called the Cruise Missile XR (Extended Range). It will weigh 4,400 lbs, have a 2,000 km (1,200 mi) range, and a 2,000 lb warhead. It will be stealthier and use a combination of guidance and targeting systems. Each Cruise Missile XR is expected to cost $3 million.

The United States Navy has a stockpile of around 3,500 Tomahawk cruise missiles of all variants, with a combined worth of approximately US $2.6 billion.

Israel should be consulted before any military strike.
A military strike is an act of war.(Imagine anyone lobbing bombs into the United States. we would be at war immediately).
Nobama apparently does not want to remove Assad, because the military strikes are not designed to accomplish removing Assad.
Assad will become even more desperate and will quite possibly let loose more chemical weapons....possibly at Israel. After miltary strikes by the U.S., Assad will figure that he has nothing else to lose.
Removing Assad allows radical muslims to be the most powerful influence in Syria.
Due to inept U.S. leadership over the last several years, Syria/the entire mideast has degenerated into a state of chaos.
It is time to cut our losses in the area.....the U.N. does not support nobama, most people in the U.S. do not support nobama, and even the British have turned their back on Nobama on this issue.........an air strike will not turn out well.......for anyone....except haters of the U.S.

Isn't amazing how old "GRANDPA NICOLAI" supported the killing of 3,200 and 5,000 people, and injured around 7,000 to 10,000 most of them civilians in the genocidal massacre against the Kurdish people that took place on March 16, 1988 by old "GRANAPA NICOLAI's" good-buddy Saddam Hussein...

"Butt" he is "outraged" when the same thing happens during the rule of his God Barack Hussein Obama...!!!

Wow...!

Old Road Toa d is only supporting Barack Hussein Obama because of the color of his skin...

and in your eyes, nobama can do no wrong.
There is nothing to be gained by bombing Syria, except perhaps satisfying nobama's prideful vengence.
Assad will still have chemical weapons capabilities, only now, he will not hesitate to use them as he has NOTHING TO LOSE. His days as "king" are numbered as soon as the U.S. strikes.
Israel will probably be the recipients of a vengeful retaliation.
Assad knows that eventually he(and his family) will be killed by the cut throat muslim zealots that will take over Syria. He truly has nothing to lose by starting THE regional war that will ultimately follow........I think that it was always in the cards(a regional war)......but I never thought that a U.S. Pres. would be the one to provide THE big catalyst to get it going.

Awh contraire my little lemming. There are lots of things he's done that I'd do differently.

Instead of Obama care, I'd have done single payer. That way everyone has basic healthcare that's paid for by everyone who pays taxes and if that's not good enough for you, you’re free to purchase supplemental insurance.

Butt that's a different thread!

at least lil teepee is keeping his big trap closed about nobama wanting to start another war as teepee is truly anti war.
But you and the ole socialist pos have gone from W. hating anti war screamers, to warmongering bloodthirsty killers.....just because of nobama's inept political drivel.
Can you say HYPOCRITE?

lmao
After the nobama bombing of Syria, the pictures of babies/innocent civilians killed by U.S. bombs WILL appear all over the news. I hope that you enjoy them.

The radical muslim lunatics are playing nobama like a fine tuned violin. THEY WANT the U.S. to get involved....in fact....they are counting on it!

Moscow said it had sent a warship it calls a "carrier killer" to the eastern Mediterranean, where a U.S. fleet is waiting for Congress to approve orders from President Barack Obama to launch punitive strikes against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad following his forces' alleged use of poison gas.
