It seems like crisis after crisis at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave....

So, the narcissist will be front and center......again.

His close personal friend Rahm Emanuel once said" never let a good crisis go to waste".
I suppose if you continue to create crisis, or do nothing to avert crisis, you have what you really like/want.

How about sitting down and working out details IN FAVOR of middle class America.......instead of this incessant bickering/fighting.

Take a good hard look at the situation.
Nobama WANTS this shutdown......and he now has it.

Personally....I don't care. A large part of the federal government should be shut down.......permanently.

They don't do much of ANYTHING for me.....so I won't even notice.......

Obama and the democrats did NOT want this situation. The Tbaggers are ecstatic about it. The ACA is the law, and the supremes ruled that it was constitutional. In the recent presidential election the eliminating the ACA was the republicans main plank. And they were defeated.

The Tbaggers are holding hostage the American people with their terrorist demands. And they'll do it again with the debt ceiling when it comes up in a few weeks. When that happens the US and world economies will go into a destructive downspin that we've never seen before.

We don't negotiate with terrorists. We have a democracy/republic that will not be over taken by a small section of our elected representatives. We're not going to be ruled by terrorist extremists.

The Tbaggers are a bunch of adolescents who only want to bring us down. If they don't get their way they'll do anything to force their way. Boehner didn't even put the clean budget bill on the floor, and most pundits agree that it WOULD have passed. But Boehner caved in to his Tbaggers rather than give the bill a chance. Just like the Tbaggers, the only job he cares about is his own.

Just think if we somehow had a small group of noisy Lefty extremists who tried to pull off this same stunt.

When the budget and debt ceiling came up, these Lefties could sabotage the process by yelling for background checks, outlawing big gun magazines, and for making assault weapons illegal. They wouldn't let the budget or debt ceiling be approved until their demands were met.

And the repubs would be outraged! Because it's ok to them to hold the government and American people hostage for their own ideologies-- but they would explode at the idea of an another group of ideologues doing the same thing.

Why? Because these rightie extremists just know that their way is the only correct way. And their way has no room for law or for democracy. If they have to blow up the government to show their constituents back home how much they hate the government, that's what they'll do.

Loco said that he's just fine with that. Just another punk who's never grown up.

Gawd you’re on the money! I wish Harry would play their game by sending back a bill to the house that funded Single Payer or Medicare for everyone who wanted it.

How's that for negotiating?

And a big thanks to Obama for vetoing the piddley little spending bills that would finance programs that the righties think will garner favor with the right.

The fornicating repubicans have had four years to propose ways to make the Affordable Care Act better butt oh no, and now they want to negotiate? Screw them!

The T publicans have no intention of negotiating.

Their idea of negotiation is "my way or the highway"

The cork-suckers do not believe in the American way, they could not stop OBAMACARE legislatively, legally nor politically so now they are holding the American people hostage by messing with the laws of the land and the will of the American people.

Screw them, I say...

The sad part is that Nobama could set the wheels of a "single payer" system in motion by signing up for Nobamacare......but he won't do it.
Imagine that: nobama is saying "do as I say not as I do".

He must not have faith in his own signature legislation, heh?

He should have been the FIRST person to sign up for nobamacare.
Instead, he looks like the hypocrit in chief....yet again.

Your skewed opinion again, heh lil teepee?

If what you say is true, then the senate should pass the individual funding bills passed by the house repubs., and we can get most things going, heh?
The larger discussion can take place after the senate dems vote to fund these other items. Harry Reid and the dems won't negotiate...in fact....they want to continue the shutdown.

More talking points from Limbaugh and Faux News. The Tbaggers will send new demands that release government hostages one at a time.

They'll release those programs they like, or which look good to many Americans, but keep holding hostage what they don't like-- such as funding the EPA or FDA, or agencies that oversee the food we eat.

We don't negotiate with terrorists.

They wanted the shut down, they own it and no amount of B.S. will keep them from wearing it. I have friends, and they’re conservatives who own a store with gas pumps right outside Yosemite and they‘re losing business already.

Keep it up boner and we’ll own the house next election.

The nation will see who the terror group really is.

I hear so many Socialist/Communists saying that obamacare is law. You say it like it is here to stay. This law was passed by one party. At one time Prohibition was law. Prohibition even rose to the level of an Amendment to the Constitution. It was another unpopular imposed law just like obamacare. Please quit saying it the law of the land like its here to stay, because it isn't going to stay.

The biggest fear of the T Baggers is being realized in front of our eyes, because....

people are enrolling like crazy in OBAMACARE just as we speak, and the right wing nuts will not be able to get rid of ACAS anymore then they can get rid off SS or Medicare.

I agree that many people are visiting the site. That doesn't mean that they are purchasing anything. SS and medicare, for the majority of the people in this country are costs taken out of their paychecks before they ever see it and don't feel the pain of writing a check and paying for it like they will be doing for obamacare.

If this cut from an article is true, then it is doomed to fail:

American media outlets were finally able to track down a mythical creature — a person who actually signed up for the Obamacare exchanges online.

But that person, Chad Henderson, admitted to the Washington Post that the premium for the plan he enrolled in was $175. Ouch! Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to lower premiums?

Henderson’s going to pay a $175 premium and he won’t even receive vision or dental insurance. He has contacts, so not having vision insurance is kind of a bum deal.

Henderson, as far as we know a healthy, 21-year-old college student at Chattanooga State Community College who lives in Flintstone, Ga., and works part-time at a day-care center, did not qualify for tax credits to purchase insurance, according to the Post.

Without Obamacare, Henderson could have received health insurance for as little as $44.72 on eHealthInsurance.com , according to Michael F. Cannon of the Cato Institute.

“I can’t yet say whether Chad’s $175 premium is the lowest-cost plan available to him through the Obamacare Exchange,” Cannon said.“[I’m in the process of researching that, and it’ll probably take a few hours.] But it’s probably close.”

Thanks to Obamacare’s community-rating price controls that take effect in 2014, Henderson’s cheapest plan option on eHealthInsurance jumped up to $190.23.

“So it appears that Obamacare quadrupled Chad’s premiums, and Enroll America thinks this is a success story,” Cannon said.
