I've shown how the Koch's stole millions of gallons of oil from publc lands, and how they bribe officials throughout the world. I've shown how they used their power at PBS to stop a Koch documentary from showing.

Another tidbit: before the midterm elections they sent a threatening newsletter to their employees about what and whom to vote for.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php...

"According to an article in The Nation, "on the eve of the November midterm elections, Koch Industries sent an urgent letter to most of its 50,000 employees advising them on whom to vote for and warning them about the dire consequences to their families, their jobs and their country should they choose to vote otherwise."

The authors also wrote that "The Nation obtained the Koch Industries election packet for Washington State—which included a cover letter from its president and COO, David Robertson; a list of Koch-endorsed state and federal candidates; and an issue of the company newsletter, Discovery, full of alarmist right-wing propaganda. "

The above post shows how the Koch's tried to intimidate their employees to vote THEIR way. That's not exactly fighting for freedom and democracy.

The Koch's hate the EPA-- after all, this agency gets in their way. They'd rather pollute as much as they need to in order to make more billions faster.

From the source above:

"During the 1990s, faults in Koch Industry pipelines were responsible for more than 300 oil and chemical spills in five states, prompting a landmark penalty of $35 million from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In Minnesota, it was fined an additional $8 million for discharging oil into streams.

According to an August 30, 2010 article in The New Yorker magazine, "In 1999, a jury found Koch Industries guilty of negligence and malice in the deaths of two Texas teen-agers in an explosion that resulted from a leaky underground butane pipeline.(In 2001, the company paid an undisclosed settlement.)

During the months leading up to the 2000 presidential elections, the company faced even more liability, in the form of a 97-count federal indictment charging it with concealing illegal releases of 91 metric tons of benzene, a known carcinogen, from its refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. The company faced liability for three hundred and fifty million dollars in fines, and four Koch employees faced up to thirty-five years in prison."

I think that all of you hypnotized lemming, who somehow believe that the big energy corporations such as the Koch's are all about freedom, free-enterprise, and democracy-- should move to W. Virginia.

That's the state which had the chemical leak that polluted their river and water. There was no EPA-- or ANY agency-- overseeing these chemical plants. And millions are now buying bottled water and have stopped showering until it's finally cleaned up.

And W. Virginians cannot even sue these guys-- they went bankrupt days later. And then the owner started a new company to take over his bankrupt company.

What a sad joke.

Hey Gramps,

These right wing idiots forgot to check which RXR is shipping that Canadian oil. Canadian National (CN) RXR has a track that goes all the way to the Gulf of Mexico and both CN and Canadian Pacific (CP) RXR go to the Pacific and East Coasts.

Can't you post without frothing at the mouth? Probably not...

The Koch's spend more, all by themselves, then the unions they'd love to break up so that they can pay their workers less.

Together, the Koch's are probably the nation's biggest political donors. Nobody else -- not George Soros, not Bill Gates, not even Sheldon Adelson -- comes close. And their influence is everywhere...They're the sugar daddies behind two powerful political organizations, FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity -- which runs hate filled anti-Obama TV ads in 10 states. They were the money bags behind the tea party.

They put up the funds to oppose new mining safety regulations in West Virginia, overturn tough mileage standards in California, and elect Scott Walker in Wisconsin.

As I've shown, over and over, their agenda is not for free-enterprise or for democracy. They don't care about YOU-- they care only about their own megalomaniacal need for more personal power and wealth.

Righties know that the Koch's are bad news, so they have to try to paint rich philanthropists as equally bad.

It doesn't work, except in the righties hallucinatory minds.

Such a small 'tax deductable' price to pay to fool fools like you, as he and oblamer keep their little inside deal/monopoly of shipping tar sands oil from Canada to California on his trains.

Now pollution, just how many cars, that carry 6000 to 10000 gallons each, do you believe it takes to cover that amount of money???

Buffett Wins Big From Railroad Crude Shipments

Buffett rides the rails to profits.
Over the past year or so, one of the most intriguing developments in the energy space with regard to oil and gas transportation has been the accelerated use of railcars and barges. Warren Buffett is one of the more famous investors to have reaped the rewards from this trend, through his purchase of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp., one of the largest railroad companies in the U.S.

When he bought Burlington Northern back in 2009, he said the investment was a bet on the future of the the railroad industry and the company itself, but also a bet on the future direction of the U.S. economy. Given the rapid rise in the importance of rail transport in shipping crude oil, it turned out to be a great decision. Of the nearly 750,000 barrels per day of crude oil produced in the Bakken in October last year, an estimated 52% was transported via rail, as compared to 38% through pipelines.

Hey fornication face, thanks for showing how stupid you are! Wow! The Athabasca Oil (tar) Sands deposits are in Northern Alberta and are a "crude bitumen" deposit whereas the "Bakken" deposit is an "oil shale" deposit and are considered light by tar sand standards. Most of the product coming from the Bakken is produced in Montana and North Dakota and at least half is shipped on U.S. rail to the refineries in texass, Washington and Caulifornia.

Most of the product produced in Canada from the Bakken is shipped to the gulf coast on CN tracks.
