For Gawds sake leave them alone! They were just trying to make a buck. So what if people died, making money is more important than lives!

People would be dropping like flies if the T baggers had their way and got rid of rules and regulations.

I don't know why the conservative hoi polloi do not understand that the larger the population and the more complex a society gets, the greater is the need for more rules and regulations.

First off, let me congratulate you for recognizing sarcasm. Most of the right -wing freaks who post on and/or read these forums are to stupid to understand it.

And your point is on the money! The tea -bagging lemmings want to create a state of anarchism where it's every person for themselves, until they open that can of corn and find it's horse crap or they buy a gallon of gas only to find out that it's only 7 pints or they get gangrene in their left arm butt the doctor cuts off the right arm.

Wow...!

So...

According to old Road Toa d...

The "need for more rules and regulations" should be directly proportional to the population of any given country...

So...

That would mean that the population of, let's say Micronesia..... with a total population of less than 104 thousand...

Should only have a MINUTE FRACTION (less than .004 %) of the "rules and regulations" which the Obama Administration wants to impose on the American People...!

That percentage of "rules and regulations: wouldn't even cover the Automobile Driving Laws...!

And you know what Road Toa d...

They ACTUALLY DO drive cars in Micronesia...!!!

And since China has a population of 1.3 BILLION People...

Well... according to old Road Toa d...

The Chinese people should have 4 TIMES the number of "rules and regulations" as we are subjected to in America...!

Wow...!

What a GREAT idea...!!!

So...

Once again...

Old "Baghdad Bob" Mulholland: aka- "GRANDPA NICOLAI" PROVES he doesn't have the SLIGHTEST IDEA what he is taking about...

And once again... he is kicked to the curb and pi$$ed on like the arrogant, ignorant moron he is...!

Poor old Road Toa d...

http://www.californiaprogressreport.com/Bob-M...

Such a ignorant old fool...!

ROTFLMAO...!!!

Well I agree but some of your points are a bit extreme. I am trying to have civil discussions with some such as Kranky. Maybe that way we can make some progress? Maybe??

I am going to go out on a limb and agree with the statement that as society grows, it becomes more complex and requires more rules. Where I am in disagreement with you is that the rules and regulations that I have seen of late have been designed to benefit a certain special group at the expense of the rest of society. My prime example are laws such as California's prop 65 where private attorneys become enforcer for the state in policing labeling rules regarding California's list of suspect cancer causing substances. The legislation is designed to pay exorbitant fees to lawyers that bring actions against companies and local government agencies in a practice called bounty hunting.

I am seeing laws and rules that frankly make no sense and in many instances seem corrupt in their very nature. The politicians are all quick to enact such laws and get their names in front of the public as "doing something" but are never around when the unintended consequences rear their ugly heads!

There is no denying that there is a certain percentage of regulations which outlived their usefulness or were intended only to benefit one professional group or social class.

However, since most professional groups, manufacturers and purveyors of other goods and services are either unwilling or unable to police themselves, the vast majority of the rules are intended to protect society from them.

It is extremely unlikely that politicians would sit around dreaming up arbitrary regulations just to make it appear they are "doing something," personally I do not think it matters too much who enforces the regulations, as long as it is not a case of the fox watching the hens and the populace gets the final benefit.
