You are correct, CO2 levels were much lower but methane levels were higher than they are today and methane is at least 20 times more powerful as a green house gas then CO2 is... hence the warming.

Finally. You agree that CO2 is not responsible for the warming, good for you.

It's not up to Sam(or I) to draw a picture for your lack of comprehension or you inability to admit you are a fool.

I will give you a good idea......go back and read the thread (slowly this time), take notes, and then think about it......and then post so you won't look so ....well.......you won't look so foolish.

It's not the English language that we have a problem with...
It is regressive liberal lies that are the problem!

And by this post of yours nicoliar? It really appears that it is you who is the one with English language problems!!! LOL at you!

SAM's comprehension level is barely a notch above yours which isn't saying much since you do not even understand the difference between global climate and local weather.

I also strongly suggest you take a basic science class before posting your simpleton's baloney on these threads because your scientific knowledge, or shall I say, lack thereof is on a par with the one of that other simples ass INFANTILE cum PREACHER....

You Know? Quite frankly, SOLUTION and I are tired of exposing all you right wing nuts for the ignoramuses you all are....

Yeah Sambo, those changes happened overnight too. The evidence is clear if you have a BRAIN. Butt hey, just to prove it is true let's get Here is One MexiIdiot to take us fishing at the Arctic circle today. It is ICE FREE AT right now.

Hmmm No!

Those who understand what they read know that the last time CO2 levels were as high as they are today was during the Pliocene era about 5 million years ago...the global temperature was 3 to 7 degrees F warmer than today, the poles were 18F warmer than today and ocean levels were between 16 to over 100 feet higher than they are today...

NASA has admitted to "spurious errors" in current sea level/world temp. measurements. In other words, our current technology isn't that good.....but you are citing fairly specific temp measurements from 5 million years ago?
Get real you ditto head.........

Why is it that you Man Made Global Warming fanatics are so certain about climate facts that cannot be proven.........and yet, NOBODY can predict major weather events (hurricanes etc.) months in advance, nor can the experts even predict next years rainfall in advance.
Seems like pretty convenient/selective expertise to me.

So.... it's OK for old "GRANDPA NICOLAI" to be "FILTHY STINKING RICH" and hord his money...

"Butt" it's not OK for anyone else to do that...?!!!

Tell us "Corporate DUPE SAMBO"...

Do you have to make an appointment to crawl out of old "GRANDPA NICLOAI's" rectum...

or do you just give a big TURD "Push" when you are filled up with "Obama Talking Points" to spread the sh!t all over everything you can find outside of old "Road Toa d's" rectum...?

"Butt" you don't seem to have any ideas or thoughts of your own...

You only vomit up the Obama White House / Grandpa Nicolai talking points day after day after day...

You obviously have no individual thoughts of your own...!

You really, REALLY are one sorry excuse for a Butt-Monkey "Corporate DUPE SAMBO"...

First off, NASA had the integrity to admit to something, a concept that is totally foreign to devious conservative miscreants of your ilk.

Second you got no idea what the "spurious errors" are all about, which makes you about as bright as a parrot repeating something he heard.

Third, you have got to be pretty daft to think that the scientific community depends solely on NASA's satellites for all it's temperature and sea level readings.

Fourth, Paleoclimatologists are pretty good at reading the traces left by climates of eons ago.

Lastly, you still do not understand the differences between climate and local weather....

Could it be your MA in English...?

"The current issue of Climate Change Weekly reports on two peer-reviewed studies that illustrate the duplicity by which agenda-driven global warming alarmists falsely claim 97 percent of scientists believe humans are creating a global warming crisis.

The 97-percent “surveys” cited by alarmists address to simple questions; has the planet warmed since the Little Ice Age ended a little over 100 years ago and have humans played some role in recent warming. The questions are meaningless, as virtually all scientists – alarmists and skeptics alike – realize we are no longer in the Little Ice Age and humans have played some role in recent warming. The key question that divides alarmists and skeptics in the scientific debate is whether humans are causing warming that is so severe and harmful as to constitute a crisis."

Now you seem to be making some progress by admitting the Earth is warming and that humans are indeed playing a role in the warming...

Now as to wether it constitutes a crisis or not we must be cognizant of the fact that the last time CO2 was in the order of 400ppm was durning the Pliocene era when global average temperatures were around 7F than they are today and ocean levels were from 30 to 100 feet higher then they currently are.

WHY THE GLOBAL wARMING HOAX?

It is the perfect tool for taking control of the average Americans life......one step at a time.

1940's Socialist Party president Norman Thomas said,

““The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of Liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened.”

Yet more bad news for the AGW alarmists.

"Since the 1940s and up to 10 years ago we have had the highest solar activity in 1000 years. The last time we had solar activity that high was when we had the Medieval Warm Period from year 1000 to around 1300.… Historically there has been a close connection between solar activity and temperature for the last 1000 years. Therefore the sun’s activity will also have influence the coming many years.… The unusual thing right now is that sun’s activity is decreasing while there’s a great increase in atmospheric CO2. For that reason the question is how much the earth will cool in a time of decreasing solar activity.… The development is beautifully consistent with a cooling effect of the solar activity in the same period. This could mean that the temperature will not rise for the next 30 years or maybe begin to decrease.”

"Despite predictions that the temperature on the globe should rise with a huge speed, nothing has really happened the last 10-15 years. However climate scientists are insisting we are in the middle of the heaviest global warming maybe ever, and that the temperature will rise with at least 2-4 degrees towards the year 2100.”

"How should ocean water under 700 meters be warmed up without a warming in the upper part?… In the period 1990-2000 you could see a rise in the ocean temperatures, which fit with the greenhouse effect. But it hasn’t been seen for the last 10 years. Temperatures don’t rise without the heat content in the sea increasing. Several thousand buoys put into the sea to measure temperature haven’t registered any rise in sea temperatures.”

CO2 is involved but not determinative.

"The growth and reduction of Northern Hemisphere ice sheets over the past million years is dominated by an approximately 100,000-year periodicity and a sawtooth pattern1, 2 (gradual growth and fast termination). Milankovitch theory proposes that summer insolation at high northern latitudes drives the glacial cycles3, and statistical tests have demonstrated that the glacial cycles are indeed linked to eccentricity, obliquity and precession cycles4, 5. Yet insolation alone cannot explain the strong 100,000-year cycle, suggesting that internal climatic feedbacks may also be at work4, 5, 6, 7. Earlier conceptual models, for example, showed that glacial terminations are associated with the build-up of Northern Hemisphere ‘excess ice’5, 8, 9, 10, but the physical mechanisms underpinning the 100,000-year cycle remain unclear. Here we show, using comprehensive climate and ice-sheet models, that insolation and internal feedbacks between the climate, the ice sheets and the lithosphere–asthenosphere system explain the 100,000-year periodicity. The responses of equilibrium states of ice sheets to summer insolation show hysteresis11, 12, 13, with the shape and position of the hysteresis loop playing a key part in determining the periodicities of glacial cycles. The hysteresis loop of the North American ice sheet is such that after inception of the ice sheet, its mass balance remains mostly positive through several precession cycles, whose amplitudes decrease towards an eccentricity minimum. The larger the ice sheet grows and extends towards lower latitudes, the smaller is the insolation required to make the mass balance negative. Therefore, once a large ice sheet is established, a moderate increase in insolation is sufficient to trigger a negative mass balance, leading to an almost complete retreat of the ice sheet within several thousand years. This fast retreat is governed mainly by rapid ablation due to the lowered surface elevation resulting from delayed isostatic rebound14, 15, 16, which is the lithosphere–asthenosphere response. Carbon dioxide is involved, but is not determinative, in the evolution of the 100,000-year glacial cycles."

Yeah right!

Solar activity is the second most frequently employed myth next to the "climate has changed before" non sequitur employed by the AGW deniers.

The solar activity claim is ridiculous because the sun has been showing a slight cooling trend for the last 35 years, while the Earth has been warming up.

That is like saying PGE does not care if anyone connects anything to the grid..........LOL
