Then answer the question.
"For what possible gain did those "hotshots die"?
whose life did they save?...or....whose life might they have saved?
As it seems to be turning out, the government boss that decided to send those men to their deaths DID NOT consult a meterologist on the possbilities of wind change. In othe words, the scientific experts are throwing the government boss(s) under the bus.
http://townhall.com/news/us/2013/07/03/arizon...
You can run but you cannot hide. Either the government bosses used bad judgement, or the meterologists were incompetent. Which one is it?
The widows of the fallen hotshots are going to sue the crap out of taxpayers. Someone should be fired and/or jailed for sending those brave young men to their deaths.
>

Apparently you do not understand that firemen put out fires and they do not have any more of choice as to which blaze they go against then an Army private has about which battle he will fight and possibly die in...

The fire bosses are well familiar with wind shifts, that's why they had a look out at a remote location, let us hope he was paying attention an not playing a game of pong on his iPhone or napping...

A better question would have been why the "hotshots" were not supported by an air spotter, could it be that the Arizona T Publican legislature was too cheap to spring for a spotter plane and a pilot...????

Nobody is throwing anyone under a bus, but as a typical T Publican you are once again trying to make political hay out of a tragedy...

I do hope that the widows and children of the fallen hotshots get a handsome settlement from the taxpayers, after all, they were protecting taxpayer property...

...and since you brought the government into the matter, let me remind you that thousands of citizens died including several hundred brave firemen because the bush.w administration dropped the ball on Osama Bin Ladin on 911, and if you don't think that the taxpayers paid dearly for that incident then you don't think at all...

I don't know about you but to the best of my knowledge no one was fired nor went to jail for sending many brave men to their deaths on 911 or Iraq....

I am always ahead of the curve. You, on the other hand, are a predictable
government shill/moron.

RIP 19 dead firefighters in AZ. Tragedy predictable & avoidable, not 'unimaginable'. Independent investigation needed

It seems likely that questionable decisions were made that lead to these deaths. A full independent investigation is essential to provide details so this never happens again.

"Did fire bosses send the Granite Mountain Hotshots in to an area too dangerous where they shouldn't have been?"

"Too many politicians will praise these dead men without asking fire bosses tough questions about how and why they died and was it avoidable. Their timid, limited approach is an unintentional disrespect to these lost firefighters, and fails to learn from mistakes made so mistakes are not repeated to kill more in the future."

Judging by your posts every curve you took so far either ended up in a dead end or you fell off the stupid conservative man's cliff....

A thorough investigation of every major tragedy (with the exception of 911) is one of the things that made this Country great and prevented many other similar tragedies from occurring.

The "hotshots" are the firemen's equivalent of the Navy Seals and it is their function to fight the most dangerous wildlife fires...

Their deaths are of course regrettable and may the investigators determine the primary cause so
such tragedies can be avoided in the future.

Let's hope that these brave young men did not die in vain........
Let's join the call to hold those government fire bosses accountable.

Sunday's tragedy raised questions of whether the Hotshot crew should have been pulled out much earlier and whether usual precautions would have made any difference in the face of triple-digit temperatures, erratic winds and dry conditions that caused the fire to explode.

A team of forest managers and safety experts is investigating what went wrong and plan to release some initial findings by the weekend. In addition to examining radio logs, the fire site and weather reports, they'll also talk to the crew's sole survivor, a 21-year-old lookout who warned his fellow firefighters and friends that the wildfire was switching directions.

http://www.wral.com/burns-breathing-issues-ki...

Government worker shill/apologists should join the call for a thorough investigation into the deaths of these brave young "hotshots" so that this sort of needless tragedy need never happen again.

You ignorance is astounding.
Go ahead and disrespect the memory of these brave young men.
Go ahead and try to insure that more brave young firefighters will die due to government arrogance and incompetence.

Navy seals? don't be ridiculous. These men died saving nothing but wildland brush........not people. This wildland brush has been burning naturally, periodically, for eons.......
Face it you ole perverted socilaist, some arrogant government zealot fire boss sent these men to their deaths.

Fear not fool....

The incident that took the life of the 19 "Hotshots" will be much more thoroughly investigated than 911 was...

Unlike in the World Trade Center disaster, if someone is found culpable in Yarnell they will be held to account and dealt with properly to the fullest extent of the law....

This is supposed to be an investigation for what went wrong and only ignorant fools like you want to turn it into some sort of a political witch hunt

You are absolutely right once again!

If any rights were removed or disallowed to them it would be Civil War Time in their minds. Butt they so easily do it to others! Insecure is a word I would use to describe these poor paranoid losers.

The SAD thing is they need air and water too but they are to stupid to understand that they ARE resources that are NOT INFINITE!

Liberal stupidity? It never ceases to amaze me!

Rahm Emanuel: You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.

The Truth
There are several quotes.
Most of them come during a time in the Clinton administration when decisions were being made about action against Saddam Hussein and amid concerns about weapons of mass destruction.

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998-Truth!
This was a quote from President Clinton during a presentation at the Pentagon defending a decision to conduct military strikes against Iraq.

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.
We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998-Truth!
Bill Clinton went to the Pentagon on this occasion to be briefed by top military officials about Iraq and weapons of mass destruction.
His remarks followed that briefing.

It is not a matter of conspiracy as much as that no one in his/her right mind would put anything past the corrupt bush/chenney regime....

Speaking of "never letting a crisis go to waste" conservatives were/are on top of things during the Bengazi incident just as they are making political hay out of Syria and even the tragic accident that took the lives of the nineteen Hotshots....

It seems that the "consensus" scientists are wrong once again. Of course there can be no consensus in science.

We were told by the AGW alarmists that less Arctic ice would be the cause of Polar Bear extinction, the Federal Government bought into this junk science and put the Polar Bear on the extinction list, yet we see increasing numbers of Polar Bears over the last few years indicating once again that the AGW alarmists in the scientific community know not of what they speak.

The lack of Arctic ice is the reason for the Polar Bear population increasing.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2013/07/06/why-les...

In another case the AGW alarmists were blaming AGW on the decline in lobster populations but now that the lobster population is increasing that is blamed on AGW. I for one will not complain if lobster prices drop.

These enviro-nazi liberal shills don't like to hear the truth.

Here's some more fact that they ignore on a regular basis.

Antarctic Ice: Is It Going To Take Over The Planet?

We also mentioned that the Antarctic is nearing 450 days of uninterrupted above-normal ice.

That was last week. And this is this week: Antarctic sea ice is on an upward slope. Real Science, a science website, says it "has been increasing at a rate of half a million square kilometers per year.

"If this alarming trend continues, the planet will be completely covered with Antarctic ice in 1,000 years," said Real Science, using University of Illinois data to map out the trend and reach its conclusion. "The Australian coral reefs will freeze to death in less than 300 years."
