"Per the tallies of peer reviewed abstracts (some 12,000), it is readily apparent that the vast majority of studies (68%) have failed to endorse catastrophic global warming - the classical alarmists' fear-mongering of climate change disasters. Or to put it another way, only 32% of the studies embrace (maybe?) the potential of catastrophic global warming science and its conjecture of an increased likelihood of disasters."

So...????

Even if your extremely dubious claim is accurate and only 32% "embrace the potential of global warming" do you think that mother nature will do the biding of the 68% who, according to c3headlines (whatever that is) failed to endorse AGW...???

It isn't my claim. Read the material for a change. So you AGW alarmists were all about the "consensus" as proof for AGW and the catastrophes that were heading our way but when the majority don't agree with the catastrophic scenarios now the "consensus" doesn't matter. I know that you Lefties like to have it both ways but it doesn't work like that.

I don't give a damn about what you and your girlfriend TWerP think about me nor about anything else, neither does any other intelligent person on these fora give a damn about what you half wits say.

But on the other hand, you and your lover TWerP are obsessed with me and with every other free thinking person on TOPIX...

Hell, out of thousands of topics, you two ignoramuses can not talk about anything else but me,and normally I would have been flattered save for the fact you two are mental midgets and are so easy to toy with...

I did not say there was no consensus, I said "even though if your dubious claim were accurate..." and it is not.

And yes, there is a consensus, and, regardless of what those manipulated by the fossil industry say, mother nature will do what climatologists say she will do with the trillions of tons of CO2 man continues to pump into the atmosphere

Wonderful article in the Sacramento Bee about how CO2 levels are highest in recorded history.

So now the climatologists are telling mother nature what to do. We produce 4% of the CO2 in the atmosphere but that is going to destroy the world? Why don't your climatologists tell mother nature to produce 4% less CO2 and then everything will balance out. I guess since that 4% we produce is the tipping point the amount of CO2 that is the will throw the world into chaos must fluctuate since the amount of naturally occurring CO2 in the atmosphere fluctuates. Can your climatologists predict at what level of co2 in the atmosphere in 2040 will throw us into the abyss?

No, no...

That is "say" as in predict and not "say" as in "tell" or order.....Gee.

I am not certain where you come up with the 4% number but that 4% of yours translates into 33.5 gigatonnes of CO2 humans dumped into the atmosphere in 2010 alone.

Scientists figure that even 3% in addition to natural annual emissions, as of the late 1990's is more than enough to exceed the balancing act of the Earths CO2 sinks.

At first glance 4% might seem like a small number to some, but it is huge number on a planetary scale, besides, it is foolish to dismiss small percentages as inconsequential because they could easily be a matter of life and death....

It has been estimated that 1 (ONE) gram of vaporized polonium (a radioactive element) can kill nearly 1.5 million people, I will let you figure out the percentages there....

But don't you worry, mother nature will make sure CO2 emissions remain at an acceptable level even it it has to extinguish the human blight....

And of course you AGW alarmists never seem to realize that CO2 increases follow temperature, not the other way around.

GRANDPA, that's a good link you posted. Since Sam probably won't read it, here's a few sentences from the link that summarizes the rebuttal to Sam's theory:

"In other words, increasing CO2 levels become both the cause and effect of further warming.

Gotta love this quote from Deltoid in answer to the CO2 lag argument: See also my forthcoming paper: "Chickens do not lay eggs, because they have been observed to hatch from them".

With Sam and the other climate change deniers, it all becomes a game of whack-the-mole.

They keep making an objection to this, and to that, and when the scientists point out how these objections have already been explained, then they point to another this and that. The deniers act like science is a house of cards, and that if you can just pull out one of the cards the whole structure collapses.

Every denier argument Sam has mentioned is answered at the skepticalscience.com site.

Most climate change scientists are tired of arguing with the so-called 'skeptics', who are are not truly skeptical at all-- their one goal is to confuse the public about the science.

SOLUTION, there are many good sites out there dealing with the undisputed fact of AGW...

One of the better ones is NASA

http://climate.nasa.gov

http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php...

Few people in their right mind will claim that NASA scientists don't know what they are talking about or that they are operating under Al Gore's influence.

Another good site is UCSD's Scripps Institution of Oceanography, one of the world's premier centers for marine science research...

https://scripps.ucsd.edu/search/site/global%2...

Both sites contain more than enough information to counter the anti intellectualism of the anti AGW

You idiots!!! It's all a scam for useless idiots like you two morons!

Yet even a partial review of the emails is highly illuminating. In them, scientists appear to urge each other to present a "unified" view on the theory of man-made climate change while discussing the importance of the "common cause"; to advise each other on how to smooth over data so as not to compromise the favored hypothesis; to discuss ways to keep opposing views out of leading journals; and to give tips on how to "hide the decline" of temperature in certain inconvenient data.

However, we do now have hundreds of emails that give every appearance of testifying to concerted and coordinated efforts by leading climatologists to fit the data to their conclusions while attempting to silence and discredit their critics. In the department of inconvenient truths, this one surely deserves a closer look by the media, the U.S. Congress and other investigative bodies.
