Mahtab was my cousin , I have no words for the idiots on this thread who use the "Free Speech" excuse to post derogatory remarks about a wonderful girl like Mahtab, especially when they didn't know her.
****.S. English is not my first language, so excuse me for any grammatical erros
I'm her cousin too. Farzan is right. Thanks to Farzan for his nice words. Everybody have to be careful about the words they use. we have to put ourselves in others' shoes. I can remember the time that she was born. "Mahtab" in Farsi means "the light of the moon". She exactly deserved the meaning of her name. I'm sure she is between us. She is living with us, but we are not enough strong and powerful to perceive her existance. I hope her parents (my uncle & his wife)be enough strong to tolerate this very big loss. I love you Mahtab.

she was like my little sister. we grew up together till she was 9 and left Iran to find a better destiny in the land of opportunities ! I didn't have the chance to see her since then but regardless of all the distances between us she was always with me and she will be forever. I do believe that you'll rest in peace my little sis ! you were the only sister that I ever had and I will never believe that I can not see you anymore. I'm just waiting to see you one day soon just like all these years that I was waiting to see you again, hold you, kiss you and tell you how much I always love you. love you my little princess,..please come to my dreams... I need to feel you, touch you. please come and say there is a world out there.. a world in which you're living now in peace and joy besides all our other loved ones who are there to take care of you as the newcomer. love you little sister, I do believe that I will hug you once more and this time I'll not let you leave me. I’ll not..

We are Mahtab's Aunt and Uncle who live in the UK and have only just found out about our sad loss of our beloved niece. We have tried to contact Mahtab's parents and we cannot speak to them because they are very distressed. Although we never met Mahtab we know she was a wonderful and loving person who was really appreciated by so many people and we both know how much she loved life and enjoyed being with her family and friends in America.

Khosroh and Nahid our deepest sympathy and condolences to the loss of your beloved daughter we hope that in time your hearts will find the strength to come through this and remember that we will always be here and forever in our thoughts. Mahtab you will always be in our hearts and much much more.
All our love

And would you feel the same way if this person was still alive but she killed the innocent drivers of the vehicles she hit?
If you can't keep your car in your own lane, stay the hell off the road. Too many other peoples' lives are at stake!!! Would you walk around with a loaded gun pointing it at people with an itchy trigger finger? The way you people (of a specific gender) drive is the same friggin thing!
BTW, anyone know what happened with the bimbo that decided to make her own offramp at 99 and Vallombrosa?
You have NO IDEA why her car veered into on coming traffic so shut the fuck up!!!! Mahtab was an amazing person and friend of mine. I've known her and had been friends with her all the way through high school and after. She was a very responsible young woman. She should be remembered as such. I know that I've used a cell phone while driving... I'm sure you probbaly have too! But either way, whether she was or wasn't, that does not have to be the reason her car went into on coming traffic. Anf i also attended Chico State and do not believe that Hwy 99 is all that safe. Accidents happen for a variety of reasons all the time. Mahtab was unfortunate and lost her life. That sucks. But she did not kill anyone and you didn't know her so shut the fuck up!!!

I heard this accident was caused by a driver following too close behind her on the freeway. She breaked and the driver in back of her didn't have time to stop. So awful all because of some impatient driver that needed to be a bully.

My condolence to the parents of Mahtab Sharifi! I am deeply saddened to have stumbled on this article and to read about Mahtab’s tragic accident. I am sorry, I was not aware of this tragedy. I am disappointed to read some negative comment on this page. No one person should permit themselves to judge the conditions of the time of the accident. I believe that the parents have the right to sue the city for the hazardous road conditions that caused this tragic accident to occur, and sue Victoria Secret for having a late night meeting scheduled. Then there is the weather factor. I am sure Mahtab was a good driver.
I know Mahtab when she was born, and all the way till she was four years old. Then I moved to the States and lost direct contact. I always heard through other family members that she was a good student, and very responsible person. She was one sweet darling. Mahtab was the youngest cousin of my cousin. It is a true loss! My prayers are with the family and Mahtab!

It's better ignoring what some idiots write their comments here. They didn't know Mahtab at all. She was so respektful, so attentive, so sensitive and sentimental. She had always great respect for others, even as a child.
So, my dearest Mahtab, my nice cousin, rest in peace and welcome back to heaven. I miss you my darling anh hope your parents are strong enough to tolerate such a big lost.
thank you all my cousins and relatives supporting mahtab. God bless you all.
