Can't help but think that Richmond's reputation for crime, like chickens, is coming home to roost. Never mind the fact that Staples Mill station carries over 10 times as many passengers as Main Street station does. Can we say "COST EFFECTIVE"

The stop over at Richmond Station might be good for people coming from Norfolk to work downtown Richmond, but not the other way around. Staple Mill Road is much easier for people living in the Richmond area trying to work in Norfolk. I cannot imagine many people living downtown Richmond and working in Norfolk. Downtown Richmond has horrible parking, and I would certainly not leave my car down there overnight. I think it Was a wise decision not to invest that large amount of money into the tracks for the few that would use it, lets see how many use it on Staples Mill first. Better yet, lets have the Bafoons at Richmond City Hall commission one of its many, many, many $200,000+ studies to tell us what we already know.

Well if you still want to simulate the experience of riding on the train you can just drive around the downtown area. With the road conditions here you will hardly know the difference!
