I was living and working in Arlington, Va. when the murders were occuring. I remember routinely trying to walk very fast to get to the office from the George Mason metro. A portion of the high school football seasons were cancelled in the D.C. metro area because of these psychopaths. At gas stations, customers would fuel up and then wait inside their vehicles and duck until it was time to put the nozzle back on the pump. Incredible how much fear they created.

Although the Gov. would have most likely stopped the execution, He "had" to follow through with Mr. Muslim's execution. The Gov. is just covering his behind for future votes/elections.

I did not have to think about the death penalty
for a while, in the past, I was against it, then changed to being on the fence about it, meaning
I was both pro AND con on the issue depending on the case,
more recently, I changed my mind again:)
desided that we as a society have to have
a punishment fitting horrendous crimes
incl. the person that shot my friends son(age 24) in the face during a car jacking
killed by a dead beat over a car, their only child.
For some people, the threat of spending years in jail is not enough
look at the people that spent years on death row
for horrible crimes, if there is apsolutly no doubt
about their guilt that sent them to death row,
it should not take years to finish the sentence given.
this sniper, I really do not care about his origin or his religion, he caused death, he got convicted
and now paid for his crimes,the only people I think about, is the people that suffered through his actions, may they find some peace
