Ok, we are having a disagreement and a fun debate. My personal opinion is that most dems walk the party line, unless it jeopardizes their hold on power. So do most republicans. If they don't vote for legislation, it doesn't necessarily they aren't for it.
What sticks in my craw is that Clinton gets to take credit for signing Welfare reform, the BBA etc, all GOP legislation (again, I don't mind this; all presidents do it)- and Obama continues his free ride with the public. If this is a double dip recession,(and there are a lot of indicators that point to that), and we go into hyperinflation (the direct result of printing money with no backing), and Obama STILL does not take responsibility for the economy, he's out. No one likes to hear excusses.

How can we debate if we agree. Go back and look at some votes under DeLay, Frist and see how many Republicans voted against them. A select few which have now been labeled RINO and they are working to actively get rid of them. With the exception of Lieberman, who retained his seat as an independent, you don't see liberals doing that very often.

Fow News, we don't report news, we orchestrate it with a slant
No, I'm talking about the Tea Parties & Town Hall meetings where 1000's of regular people attended and the march on Washington where photo's show about 75,000 people over a time lapsed series of photos.

Get a grip if you're too stupid to see the tae party picture participants were not all One Color or used from the march a decade ago. ROFL!

All I can say is keep up your stupidity. It only helps keep the pot stirred and energized enough to vote demoscat skank out of office in next year. ROFL! Buh-Bye!

To have any claim on republicans being fiscal conservatives is relative to a fish complaining about water being wet.
Facts buddy just the facts. No more convenince explantations that includes fuzzy math. Unemployment went from 4.2% to over 8.0% with 750,000 American lossing jobs every month under Bush.

Dunn leaving White House, Pfeiffer takes over
White House communications director Anita Dunn will step down from her post at the end of the month and Dan Pfeiffer, her deputy, will take over, according to sources familiar with the move.
Dunn, a longtime Democratic media consultant, took over the job earlier this year when Ellen Moran abruptly left the post………the waters getting hot……..this is the third one in less than a year. Maybe attacking FOX cost her more than it did FOX.

Interview with the President: Jail Time for Those without Health Care Insurance?

Paterson: New York State Will Be Broke Before Christmas...

University of Massachusetts
Terror bomber Raymond Luc Levasseur, who served 18 years in federal prison, allowed to speak at the University of Massachusetts………maybe he will be stopping by to fill an application for Bomb Czar....and with Bill Ayers there will be two.

If you want my opinion, the republicans shouldn't have voted on the Stupak amendment.
Think about it, there were enough people that wanted the health care plan to not cover abortions to get that amendment passed. So most likely, there were enough people that wouldn't vote AYE on a bill that covered abortions.
So if the bill went to a final vote with abortion in there, it WOULD HAVE FAILED!

So also vote out the dumb republicans that can't win with pure numbers, and can't even figure out how to compete with logical thinking.

Vote Libertarian, Vote Constitutionalist, Vote Green Party, Vote Communist Party.
Just don't vote for democrats or republicans!

<quoted text>Do you mean like these stimulous monies: The Department of Homeland Security had announced it was spending $31 million to enhance and upgrade two remote border crossings -- just 12 miles apart -- on the border between Montana and the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. A a massive new building costing more than $15 million in Scobey, Montana, wasn’t exactly a deterrence to someone set on harming the United States. Only about 20 people a day cross the border there.
In Whitetail, it was even quieter. The town has grain elevators and a post office. Bureau of Transportation statistics show only about two people a day cross the border there, and the agents’ building seemed in good shape, save for maybe needing a paint job.
The DHS planned to spend $15 million on the outpost. That would buy a lot more paint than the building seemed to need. So why did these two areas get so much money? Locals and critics suspect politics might have played a role.
Baucus is chairman of the Senate Finance Committee; Tester is on the Senate’s Homeland Security Committee. Both took credit for convincing the DHS to give these towns millions for border crossings, bragging in a joint press release that they pressured the agency.
Meanwhile, in the Republican state of Texas… a border town like Laredo, Texas, which sees 66000 crossings a day, was getting not one dime of the $400 million in DHS border stimulus.
What was that 2008 Candidate Obama promise about bi-partisanship, transparency and reading spending bills line by line?

Obama came into the Senate in 2005, by the time Obama came to the Senate Bush has already added trillions to the national debt, He laid 7 Trillion on the national debt, that is almost 1 Trillion a years during his presidency.

Bush still had his super majority intact in congress when Obama came into the Senate, and he was targeted for voting against Bush Spending plans even if they delayed funding for Iraq.

You can not have it both way, you can't fault him for objecting to Bush spending patterns and them include him as part of the problem.

Everyone remembers Obama taking stands against funding for Iraq on principle, the republicans were putting pork spending in those bills and passing that additional funding as emergency aid to our troops.

You aren't new to politics, right?

Liberal Columnist Herbert wrote an article called "Does Obama Get It?" where he laments that Obama seems CLUELESS to the pain and suffering in America, and doesn't seem to have any plan to deal with it.

Yep, Obama's message: "get used to it."

AGAIN, Herbert wrote another piece called "A Word, Mr. President?" AGAIN questioning Obama's priorities and how he seems to be completely out of touch with the entire nation.

10.5% unemployment, Michigan just went way over 15%. REAL negative impacts, 17.5%.

27 million people struggling out there, and this idiot Obama is screwing around with HC reform.

Even Eleanor Clift wrote and article that basically said "WTF?" about the democrats and their lack of correct priorities. Even ELEANOR is advocating tax cuts.

Rasmussen:

If the election were today, Obama would only receive 45% support, 49% would OPPOSE him.

Independents oppose him by a 2 TO 1 MARGIN.

The poll didn't even NAME AN OPPONENT. Obama would lose because he is OBAMA.

Just like people voted against Bush in 2008 and he wasnt' on the ballot? People would vote AGAINST Obama just because he's Obama.

He can't even beat "no name cited" on a ballot in the polls now.

58% of the entire nation now believes the next president will be a republican.

60% of INDEPENDENTS say that.

52% of WOMEN say that.

Only 31% of democrats think it will be a democrat.

do you understand that not EVEN YOUR OWN PARTY thinks the Dems will hold the WH?

THAT'S how badly Obama and the democrats have failed the nation.

27 million people out there struggling, and Obama and Pelosi and the democrats are completely out of step with the entire nation.

they're ALL looking at you guys and saying WTF?

40% said they used their vote Tuesday as a MESSAGE. That is HUGE.

87 and 89% respectively said IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID.

MORE and more articles pointing out, Obama and the democrats are completely out of step with the nation.

They're chasing their agenda like a mindlessly rabid dog chasing it's own tail.

Oblivious. OUt of step, clueless.

More special elections coming in December and January. Primaries in February....

Republicans keep winning them.

Republicans keep winning state house seats in house legislatures. Taking back state houses.

IN ONE NITE, Republicans wiped out an ENTIRE DECADE of Dem seat gains in Virginia last Tuesday. Took back 6 seats.

2010 is going to be a slaughter for the democrats.

Did you KNOW, that the STATES can start a Constitutional Amendment process WITHOUT involving the federal government?

I had no idea. But yep. Constitutional lawyers are being contacted by state legislators all across the united states from lots of states.

Asking CAN the states, go AROUND the Feds, to amend the constitution? To constrain the federal government?

The answer...YES WE CAN.

Did you know, that even though you CAN’T recall your FEDERAL government officials, you DO have the RIGHT to RECALL your LOCAL STATE LEVEL OFFICIALS?

All you boys and girls out there...

Push to elect CONSERVATIVE small government people! Take over your STATE HOUSES.

THEN, the STATE HOUSES can push for the CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.

If you find out you have a SCUM BAG in there more interested in what he can do for HIMSELF rather than for the voters.......RECALL THEM!

Yep, the STATES can take away the Federal Government's right to levy an INCOME TAX... etc... force the federal government BACK INTO THE BOX that the original founding fathers envisioned.

Just imagine, then it is your LOCAL officials that would be the ones who tax you, and YOU control them COMPLETELY because YOU are CLOSEST to them...and YOU are the ones who can ALSO RECALL them.

The STATES could NEUTER the federal government and everything that it is doing...

Imagine, all those TAXES that you pay, would STAY WITH YOUR LOCAL STATES. Would be spent on YOU, the people who PAID them.

You wouldn’t be funding IDIOCY pushed by the far left morons from California and from New York. People in FLY OVER country would be keeping their money and spending on their LOCAL people, the people who NEED that money, who are hurting. YOU DECIDE who you’re going to “reward” with what. YOU decide if you are going to give TAX BREAKS to those who make charitable contributions.

YOU decide.

A Constitutional Amendment. And the states have the RIGHT to do this AROUND the federal government.

Start to pressure your local state governments to push BACK on the federal government over reach.

And if they don't? RECALL THEM.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Viva la revolucion...

YOU have, to say the least, a very UNIQUE view on how
this nation is governed.

I wish you luck with all of the amendments to the US
Constitution that will occur following YOUR "method"
of getting the job done.

And your other "ideas" on how "local" government can
run everything else is REALLY something else....

Actually, ratification of the amendment by 3/4s of the state LEGISLATURES....is all it takes pal.

And given we have 27 MILLION people out here on the edge of absolute destitution.. and washington is just gonna take MORE...to spend MORE on themselves?

People of ALL political stripes would go for a whole sale gutting of Washington and the greedy sycophants that get there and just spend on themselves.

Take a cold hard look...87 and 89% of the voters said Tuesday ITS THE ECONOMY. 43% said they SPECIFICALLY used their votes to send a message.

MEDIA poeple writing articles pointing out how obama and the democrats are completely TONE DEAF on the message from the nation.

LIBERAL columnists writing articles basically asking WTF? about the democrats....

Yep, 3/4s of the STATE LEGISLATURES can ratify a CONSTITUTIONAL amendment RIHT AROUND the federal government.

They can do it WITHOUT the federal government. Yep, doesn't need the congress.

How's THAT scare ya, huh?

Shocker huh?

Something tells me, THAT ALONE would be a BI PARTISAN push.

People would LOVE their taxes to stay in their states, with local officials who THEY CAN RECALL if they get out of control.

You don't have someone like a PELOSI from CA demanding a VOTER in Arizona pay for something just because that VOTER happens to BREATHE.

The constitutuion NEVER envisioned someone from CA mandating something like that on a voter in Arizona.

My bet, that would be one mother of a BIPARTISAN push. And the only people who would be whining would be the pigs in Washington who go there and spend us into oblivion and on themselves.

Automatic 4,900 raises
HIking their budgets by 6%
Ordering themselves planes
Riding around in limos
taking their families on exotic vacations

ALL ON OUR DIME

While WE'RE out here JUST TRYING TO FEED OUR KIDS.

Yep, SOMETHING tells me, that would be a MASSIVE bipartisan push.

Those that govern, do so, only with the consent of those they govern.

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."

Think of it as a SECOND revolution, without a shot fired.

Revolution, via the ballot box.

Run for office moron.
And take your tea bags with you.

Oh, and let me know how well you do with
getting all those state legislatures to
do YOUR bidding.

What makes you think the states would do anyone's bidding other than the VOTERS in that state.

My bet it would be hugely bipartisan. Liberals, conservatives, libertarian, etc.

EVERYONE would love to see all that money come back to their own states and be managed locally rather than this ridiculous omnibus washington parasitic blob.

Of course, SOME people don't see the inherent problem with a whackjob from california demanding some voter in Arizona BUY something just because they breathe, or else go to PRISON.

The federal government was never set up for that type of impact.

It was NEVER meant that some bonehead like a Barney Franks could demand a voter in Maine pay for a house for a voter in Texas who can't afford it.

It's LUDICROUS...and it's also a gross over stepping of the bounds.

I'd expect a constitutional challenge to the HC bill if it becomes law. You cannot mandate someone purchase something just because they breathe. It isn't like the ridiculous argument comparing it to "auto" insurance either.

Driving is a privilege, and you can opt NOT to purchase a car. You can't OPT not to BREATHE.

My bet, it will be declared unconstitutional if it gets signed into law.

And what a foot note THAT would be for Obama, huh? His "signature issue" is declared unconstitutional. Pelosi's "dream" is found to run afoul of the US Constitution.

quite a footnote for the history books, huh? Right up there with Clinton's impeachment.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
