I am embarrassed for the people of the state of Texas, appalled by Cynthia Dunbar’s column posted on the Christian Worldview Network website that president-elect Barack Obama is conspiring with terrorists to bring down the U.S. Shame on you, Ms. Dunbar. You do not deserve to serve in your current position as Texas State Board of Education board member, District 10, representing people of all races and socio-economic backgrounds in Austin, Bastrop, Burleson, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Lavaca, Lee, Milam, Waller, Washington, Williamson and parts of Travis, Brazoria and Fort Bend counties. Though you are entitled to your personal opinions no matter how revealing they may be of your carefully crafted ignorance, a person with such a narrow world view should not be determining the future of the education of the children of our state.

You call yourself a Christian. Does that mean you aspire to be Christ-like in your thoughts and behavior? Your statements reveal that you are living in fear. Perhaps you should reconsider your values and take a close look at who you really are. Our nation is in dire need of unity and a spirit of working together. Barack Obama needs our help if we are to pull ourselves out of our current mess. Why do you insist on perpetrating divisiveness?

I am praying for you.

I totally agree with you Ms. Gaba. Now that all Americans have the opportunity to come together and work for a better US, we need to rid ourselves, and most importantly our schools, of narrow-minded, bigoted views that are supposedly based on Christian values. Ms. Dunbar should resign from the Texas State Board of Education. Her fear-mongering is Bush-era philosophy that we will not tolerate anymore. I live in District 10 and cannot wait to find out who will oppose Ms. Dunbar in upcoming elections, both for the School Board and for Congress, so that I may join their opposition campaign and see that Ms. Dunbar is retired from public service. She can go back to Richmond, Texas and terrify her community and HER children, leaving the rest of us to grow as a nation (and as Texans!)

Mrs. Dunbar has done an excellent job. If all this anger teachers would teach kids and not grip so much maybe Texas wouldn't have half the students dropping out of school.

"Mrs. Dunbar has done an excellent job."? My GOD man, where have you been?
Read Brenda Gaba again. She speaks for Texas and the people of this district.
Dunbar is not sane. She is part of the Alex Jones bunch that, well, if you know them, you know what I'm talking about.

Yes how is it that our society, allows so much trash in this Nation?Freedom of speech, throw out GOD then let all immoral mind control in.Teach children to walk by faith not fear. This is for the Teachers especially.Course it is unconstitutional to have GOD Jesus in our Nation. The devil is laughing all the way.So sad.

I HOPE I DIDN'T OFFEND YOU... By the way......... a CHRISTMAS tree is not called a holiday tree in NORTH AMERICA11111111111111111111111 11

scroll down please... WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA - MUST READ!!!!

Can see it in Canada as well
New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME)
Since the Pledge of Allegiance And The Lord's Prayer Are not allowed in most Public schools anymore Because the word 'God' is mentioned.... A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen
If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on. Jesus said,'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'
Not ashamed. Pass this on.

If she's in the "Alex Jones bunch" she can't be all bad. Her views on the president are fairly repesentative of the district that she represents.
