To get back on topic here, I just want to say to all of you that "know" this woman and think that she could never do anything like this....that is what everyone says when crimes occur. Good people can do bad things and those around them often don't know it. I can give you hundreds of examples but I won't compare this crime to other crimes. I have family members that I love dearly that have committed crimes. That does not make me a criminal. And being involved in a church does not make you unable to commit a crime either.
I am willing to wait and see what comes out in court, but I have to tell you that when the probably cause hearing was held, this case would not be proceeding if there was not evidence to support that she was involved.
Like I said good people can also break the law and good people can forget themselves when presented an opportunity to break the law. So defending your friend with those statements doesn't move me. I agree with you that she has the presumption of innocence until she is proven guilty in a court of law...and for her sake, I hope that you are right, but I have to tell you that it does not look good for your friend.
She needs her friends now in her time of need, but being a friend also does not mean that you allow yourself to be blinded by the truth. That is all I am saying.
I have spoken to a lot of people in this town that know her professionally and have worked with her and its odd to me that not one person I have spoken with has defended her. IN fact they all have said similar things about her that their experiences with her lead them to believe this could be true. That is interesting.
This is by far the most accurate comment written yet. I know many good people that have made poor choices. I think that she was a good person that got greedy and took advantage of her position. Angie and her were friends way before she even got her job. I just find it funny that Angie would blame her best friends daughter on this if she wasn't quilty. I also know many people that are currently involved in church and are not so innocent. I agree with you and hope for her family's sake that she is innocent. But, there must be a lot more facts that we don't know yet. Kenneth loved her like a daughter and would never had pressed charges if he didn't know without a shadow of a doubt she was involved. People need to know that Kenneth was the one that found the "mistake" and is not to be at blame for this. He is a good man with a hard job that was blind-sided by someone he trusted.

I commend the opinions of all who share their OPINION....that's a constitutional right we have. The experience I have had with the "public" say bad things about a particular person when he/she doesn't care much about the person or if they have had an issue with this person. This woman has worked for a bank and for Kenneth Nolker since she has moved to Richmond in 2000. It sounds odd that the people that have "been spoken with" feel she has committed this crime. Whatever......there are many people in the paper that do WORSE things than this....have we forgotten this....? NOT one persons' opinion is a bad one.....I have a relationship with this woman that is beyond her husband, best friend(s), mom or dad and MY OPINION....well, she knows....Mary A. Liese will have her's coming....Again, that is the other woman that people are forgetting about, but of course, Mrs. Leslie works for the public. That makes her as popular as a celeb!!

Knowledge....No, charges were pressed because he has an obligation....he saw theft and therefore his attorney and him knew the next step. Your comment on " he loved her like a daughter" has NOTHING to do with it. Mrs. Leslie is NOT the reason charges were pressed.....

"Your Opinion" You are correct there are always going to be people in the paper that do worse things, and no we don"t forget, but that is not the subject of this post. We can discuss those people in another post, but we should not use that to deflect from the issue at hand, which is the charges brought against these two women.

I also want to comment on your take on Mr Nolker and his obligation. It's true that he has an obligation, but everyone knows that he was very close to Ms Leslie. I am not saying that Mr Nolker is not an honest man by no means, however, I feel if he were not confident that the crime had been committed by Ms. Leslie he would have handled the situation differently.

To me the fact that Mr Nolker turned the information over to the prosecuting attorney is very telling. It makes me feel like there is substantial evidence to warrant probable cause. Translation: there is evidence that she did it.

Mr Nolker is not my favorite person and I have my opinions about him, but I have to applaud his handling of this situation so far. I am certain it was very difficult for him to have this happen and difficult for him to do what he did.

I am really looking forward to this court case and to the outcome. If Ms Leslie is found to be innocent, I will be the first one to say its time to move on. But if she is found guilty, I will pray for her children and her family.

It had to be difficult for Nolker to bring these crimes to light, even if he didn't like the offender, just because it brings so much negative attention to his office. It doesn't seem like an audit would have found the crimes, since there has been an audit completed since they took place, so it would have been easy for him to just let it go and hope it was never found out.

If she is found not guilty, then the county had better have another person in line for prosecution, because someone surely committed these crimes. It is pretty low to steal from these people when you are in charge of looking out for their best interests.

I think that this whole thing is a bunch of crap....I know this woman and she loved her job so much that she wouldnt do a thing to jeopardize it. She loves her children enough that she wouldnt do anything to risk losing any amount of time with them. She loves her husband enough that she wouldnt do anything that would risk disappointing him, or that could possibly break that bond that they have worked so hard to create. I will celebrate with her when all this is taking care of and for you people that want to believe the worst about people, you should really get a life.

The Public Administrator is not guilty of what happened. I do want to say that in this case even if they (Felicia and Mary/Angie) are found quilty I have doubt that Judge Walden will ever have justice served. I feel like they will never serve time or have to pay back a penny. I can see them getting a slap on the wrist. I just hope that the Judge and the PA see's that this community wants jusice served. I have just seen so many people get more and more chances and never get what they deserve.
I also hope that people will acknowledge the fact that Kenneth is not quilty here. Again, He found this and it took a honest man to bring it to the eye of the public. He knew the risk he was taking and still did what was right.

Maybe, instead of just reading a newspaper article, you should all to to the courthouse and read the case or,even better, sit in on the hearings instead of going by second or third-hand information
