My sympathy goes out to the Davis family and the Mcwilliams family. I have not been there since 1996 due to me raising my family in las vegas. I knew Annette because Leroy is my cousin. She will be missed. She always made me smile and look at the brighter side of life when I was growing up in Newellton and that God would fix what ever the problem was in due time. Hopefully whatever happened "Let the truth be told". This was very saddening news to hear. Hopefully justice will be swift and according. GOD BLESS! [e-mail]

Has there been a Memorial Service for Melanie Davis? There is a lot of press about the husband, but nothing about a funeral for Melanie Davis.

Hello Everyone:
I wanted to update everyone on the status of this case. On Oct 30, 2009, Leroy Davis(her husband) was convicted after 3 minutes of deliberation of 2nd degree murder. He was very uncooperative at the trial and even said he didn't believe his wife was dead. An inmate testified against him saying that Leroy had once told him that he killed his wife after two unsuccessful prior attempts. He said that Melanie had given him AIDS and he wanted her dead. Melanie did not actually have AIDS. When asked if he loved his wife, he said to a certain degree. This is so heartbreaking.His own children testified against him . I am praying for the family and glad that justice is served. He will be sentenced on December 2nd, 2009.
