It's really comical to watch all the Barney Fife's out there like a child hiding under a table.

They're everywhere. Paid city employee trying to catch potential traffic violations along stretches of Interstate.

I-20 is notorious for these lunatics.

Always remember Barney, "don't taze me bro"!

I think this law is long overdue. Especially in those places (a city in Acadia Parish comes to mind) where crime is getting out of hand, but all the cops are on I-10 running radar.

I agree on obeying laws and posted speed limits, but I would rather cops go after the murderers, thieves, rapists, child abusers, drug dealers, etc. These crimes make speeding seem petty.

Cops are like lions in the wilderness and seek out the weakest to cull from the herds.
Besides pulling over speeders is more profitiable for the towns who get the money.
Now if the cops knew there was a ton of drug money sitting in every dope dealer, murderer, pedophile and scumbuckets house and they could keep it
They would round them all up so fast it would make your head spin.
But in the south they are all related to each other and besides who would pay their bribes.
So they can wear a rolex to a b.b.q.
The cops in the south are dirtier then the sheets in a whorehouse.

I left the south due to the dirty politics and the crooked politicians and the good old boy network.
Most of the cops in the south are playing dirty falsifying documents and arresting people without proper evidence and witnesses.
I point out the article in The Advocate Of Baton Rouge and the state trooper charged with false arrest of a judge.
Guess before you comment about me you should have cracked the paper first.
Let me point out the jailer who recently was arrested for smuggling drugs into the local parish jail.
Let me point out the jailer down in Thibodaux arrested for falsyifying a workmens comp injury caught on tape bowling by hidden camera.
So guess what I do know the south and the dirty cops are outnumbering the good ones.
By the way I was raised to believe people are good but after living in the south I don't believe it any more.
By the way before you tried to smear me you should really have picked someone else to mess with.
Why because I know the truth about southern police officers.
Sorry if this hurts your feelings and the image of the police.

Sorry if my first hand knowledge of dirty cops and how the police down south act in less then a professional manner.
By the way I guess you forgot during Katrina all those cops from all over the country.
Who filed papers against their brothers in blue for abusing the citizens during a disaster.
Sorry but the truth hurts but it is the truth and can be proven by the newspapers printing those articles.
So maybe it was time for the Good Old Boys to realize you have a image problem.

Hey Redlands Your "truth" comes up extremely short. You are citing exceptions and stating generalities. You can't handle the truth. You got caught doing a dirty and you think all "Southern Cops" are dirty. Shame on you and your "truths" The truth is that less that 2% of police officers don't fit the badge. That is a better percentage that preachers. You cited two cases. How many police officers are in the south? Thousands, I would say. I worked with many officers for 28 years. They are extremely dedicated, hard working and honest. And there are were a few that were nut cases. That doesn't tarnish the breed, bro. I still stand by my statement, Stay in CA. we don't need you. My truth hurts doesn't it.
Notice I presented you with the facts and you call me names sorry but the only dirty person is the cops.
I presented you with the facts and proof from the newspapers.
Your response was to threaten me and call me names.
Sorry but my parents raised me to be kind and charitable to others to share and give to others.
The officer who made me dislike all southerners was the officer who came to my home.
Committed a false arrest in front of my neighbors assaulted my 75 year old father in my front yard and then came into my home and threatened to kill my dog a Siberian Husky left alongside the road who almost died from starvation.
Yes I am a bad person I was kind to people and did my rescue work doing everything I could to save poor sick homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.
After my treatment at the hands of the police I stopped my good deeds and stopped helping anyone who asked me for a dime or was sitting hungry next to a freeway.
I figured a community who didn't want me I didn't want them.
After all was said and done I put my home on the market.
I stopped any volunteer work like teaching others to read.
I sold my home and took my dog and my father someplace where I don't have to be reminded how hateful the police are towards everyone.
My friends who knew me for more then ten years prior to that officer.
Were the ones who cried when I left and curse that cop for destroying my kind and giving nature towards others.
So you can say what you want but you society crapped on me.
When you did that you lost a good person who gave more then he ever received from that society.
By the way I settled the lawsuit involving those people and the false arrest.
So you go one believing I was a horrible person.
I went to work everyday took care of my sick father and helped rescue sick and starving animals.
Went to church every week and taught people to read but I am a dirty person according to you.
I wouldn't expect anything less from someone like you.
Sorry but the dirty person is the cop who robbed me of my freedom lied to attorney's and d.a.s.
Sorry but the cops in the south are nothing but a bunch of cousin marrying ignorant idiots to me.
Don't like the impression they give off maybe you should change how you treat your fellow man.

So,,you judged all for the actions of one.
(BTW he never called you names..) The La. cop even said 2% of law enfoecement was bad. But, not all.. Yet you still accuse HIM of lying and blame him for running you out of Louisiana.. Your story has a funny smell..Or is it possible you are not such a loving and giving person? Just a spiteful and mean one who blames the the whole law enforcement community for the actions of one bad cop?

BTW...You use the term "By the way" WAY too much.

But,,what do I know? I'm just a dumb Redneck..

Guees what thanks for your comment.
I was arrested on a lie and almost lost my freedom.
My home my friends and people who had known me for years.
Stopped saying hello and even looking in my direction.
Sorry but I am changed due to that day and no matter what or how I feel I can't change it.
I moved to the north and the best part is people don't call me names like jailbird.
I would go grocery shopping and people would ask you the one who got arrested ha ha ha.
I endured two years of hell thanks to that officer.
When I see a uniform I turn the other direction and leave.
Sorry but I hate the smell of all pigs now.

Sorry for your troubles..I really do hope things get better..But,My point still stands..

I drive a truck..Sometimes four wheelers cut me off, do stupid things that could get them or me killed..By your standards, I should hate them all. They are all stupid and need to stay off the roads.

Been stopped and inspected many times over the last 30 years of driving..Some of the Cops wre total ASSHOLES just looking for reason to show me who was in charge..But they were ,by far the minority. Most wer just doing their jobs..Keeping my workplace safe.Proffesional and polite. Most stops were pleasant experiences. I refuse to let a few force me to hate all...Be they fourwheelers (like yourself)or bad cops.

Again, I hope your take on life gets better.. Sometimes when a door shuts another opens..Maybe even to a more pleasant room.

(Yes.. I just assumed you are not a trucker.)

Redlands, It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience with this one yahoo cop. It doesn't make them all bad. Also, I reread my comments to you and I saw nowhere in them any derogatory remark about you. I just suggested you stay in Caifornia, not a threat. One bad cop can destroy the good public relations of many years of good deeds. Regardless, there are thousands upon thousands who would make the supreme sacrifice for you or me.They are true professionals. It sounds like you were involved in a lot of good deeds and good work. Don't let one goober cop stop you from continuing to help people. If I were a bettin' man, I would place odds this one particular cop you had the run-in with is probably managing a burger joint now. These "macho cops" don't usually last long. Most importantly you said you stopped going to church. Again, you let this "cop" persuade you not to worship. That is "stinkin'thinkin'" and the devil is talking and you are listening. I encourage you to speak to a Christian counsellor and get back into church and especially back into your relationship with God. I am a proud Southerner and a Son of the Confederacy. Your remarks are obviously founded on some baseless bias you learned from peers. You are again wrong,my friend. I would live no other place. Martin Luther King quoted Jesus Christ by saying, "The truth shall set you free". I pray you will seek the truth and be free from all this useless hate you have exhibited.
Most Sincerely, Louisiana Cop

If you're a typical Taurean you value both your emotional and physical security, and often tend to restrict your actions accordingly. But during the coming month you'll need to spread your wings more widely than usual, whether through mental or physical pursuits.
