Pvt. Christopher Alexander, 22

Pvt. Christopher Dewayne Alexander, 22, of Red Lick Road, Berea, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Saint Joseph Berea of injuries suffered in a vehicle accident. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County, born Nov. 26, 1986, a member of the Baptist Faith and currently serving in the U.S. Army 2123rd Transportation Company based in Richmond, Ky.

Survivors include: his father and stepmother, Barney and Brenda Alexander of Berea; his mother and stepfather, Ruby Alexander White and Jr. Horn of Richmond; one daughter, Taylor Renee Alexander; maternal grandmother, Susie Alexander; five siblings, Dylan White, Maria Horn, Brooke Alexander, Jennifer Alexander and Seaerra Lynch; a special friend, Virginia Combs; as well as, several aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Smith and the Rev. Dwight Farthing officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Pilot Knob Cemetery. Visitation after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mark Horn, Matthew Horn, Greg Newsome, Andy Hunt, Randy Hutchins, Dylan White. Honorary pallbearers will be David Lee Alexander, Robin White, Aaron Folden, Jr. Horn and members of the Madison County Fire Department Shift 1.

I miss Chris I just didn't know who much I'd mess him. I hated him being away for the army,now I'd rather him be it the army. It better than this, not having him here in life with us.

I knew Chris some but I am sure you and those that were close to him are grieving deeply and I am so sorry for you. Chris was a good guy.
