Does anyone have any info on what has been going on their lately? The state has been there all week and a director and a ton of teachers have been fired. Nothing has been told to the parents other than some allegations have been reported.

The diector didn't get fired she quit and they let go all the good teachers for no apparent reason!!! Reason why state has been called is because things have been happening to the children and nothing is being done!!! So parents are getting fed up and calling state to report it!!!! The director and asst. Director has done hurtful things to hurt employees! They are liars and they suck at their jobs!!!!

From what I understand, the former director (Mindy) stepped down for health reasons, then the newer director stepped down as well, I've not heard why, but she was not fired. I had my child there for a while, we left to find childcare closer to our home, but I will say I heard a lot of 'talk' about staff leaving due to internal conflict, not firing. Some staff have been let go, but so far (based on what I've heard from a family friend who has a niece there still) noone has quite got the story right on this thread so far, and I'd hate to see another place deal with slander and hubbub as I see so many quality centers get bashed on here. We loved the teachers there and believed that many of them truly cared about the children and went above and beyond expectations despite what I'm sure is a meager salary considering the amount of work most childcare workers are required to do. There are 'bad eggs' possible at every center and I'd hope that those people ARE let go, but it seems they are getting all the kinks worked out there now.

Well in my opinion the new director which has now left (Ashley.T) ran it to the ground I feel she was in it for the money and blew every parent complaint off as no big deal and treated her employees unfairly I worked there multiple yrs. and my child went there as well and I loved my job but I have heard alot of stuff as well and I believe it to be true. As far as Mindy goes she left to further her career in Education and has been blamed on multiple occasions for things that were Ashleys fault not to mention she has health issues ......

Take it from someone who knows, things are not looking up for them. I just got a phone call from 2 people that work there this week asking if my place of business is hiring and their complaints were against the people who are in charge now. These were 2 of Small Wonders most dedicated people, who I worked with when I worked there, so trust me I know.

Well I know I've been there longer than you so I think I know a little more than you do. Oh and every one that wanted to leave because of Ashley pretty much still do! p.s. I don't think losing 2 worker out of like 100 is really that big a deal!

It would be great if these forums were actually informing for people instead of all of the people in Madison County that don't have any thing else better to do with their lives than to meddle in business that they don't have any business being in getting in the way. Child Care Centers are struggling bad enough. There are alot of people out there that actually care about children and I have seen several there. If you don't go there and you don't know whats going on then you shouldn't be talking about it.

My child was with the daycare (Imagination Station) that has now partnered with SW for 1.5 year before this merger. We have been happy with them & am pleased to continue with the same director. I have noticed that the majority of the current staff is from IS. I do not know the reasons behind this but trust that staffing decisions have been made in the best interest of the children. I am very involved in my child's attendance & speak up whenever I feel necessary. I have never been met with any kind of resistance to resolve an issue & they have also always been very willing to work with us on an individual basis as needed. I cannot speak to anything that happened prior to Jan, but have not experienced any problems with the new situation. I encourage anyone with children currently enrolled to attend Parent's Night in Feb.
