The employees seem cheerful enough. No doubt that there will be aspects that aren't awesome, but the same can be said of any employer.

Question is, what are the pay & benefits like, and are they sufficient for your needs?

Be forewarned: You can expect a Topix creeper by the name of RODEN (or some other convenient pseudonym) to post a bunch of unsubstantiated negative blah blah about Petsmart in short order, but pay it no mind. Said poster had an axe to grind, but no substantiating fact or supporting links to back up said blah blah. I half expected this to be another of RODENt's rants kicking off :-P

Yeah, but they made me eat the pinkies that were getting old so they wouldn't go to waste. Also, they asked me to come to a company picnic,

It's not a bad place to work, good people there, usual retail experience really. One of the best petsmarts around, used to work there part time and never had any issues. Benefits and pay are decent. Don't know about the salon, don't ever go in there. Only left because I grauated. Managers are nice, the new ones seem to be too, I've been in a few times recently to get stuff for my dog.

It is, but if you live in Winchester, the Lexington branch is closer, unless you live right off of exit 95.
