I know there are a lot of good cops but every town has there bad ones.Lets here some of the ones that has been abused by any cop or jailer. Like the man who was teased in his wheelchair.I know it is a small town and you can get a target on you but there has to be somebody knowing or willing to say something.

RPD destroyed my daughter's life to protect somebody they felt was important. she was in a car accident involving 3 cars and 7 people but the cop only took a statement from the guy who hit her. she was pretty badly hurt and has had several surgeries and will have issues the rest of her life but RPD refused to review or investigate further so I guess she just loses her car, her income, her health and a year of her life. all I could tell her was if she hadn't been too hurt to drink piss, the cops might have been more fair. otherwise, she learned a good lesson. never trust the pigs and handle problems yourself

MCSD and the RPD... sounds like they need more 'classes' on how to take statements and write reports. The person who is at fault, the criminal seems to have more rights than the victim.. I heard a MCSD deputy... say... but that poor old man that hit you..he felt so bad about it (meantime the person who was hit is paralized

When it comes to law enforcement complaints, there's always more to the story. All you'll get from most complainants here is their slanted sides. You'll not hear too many willing to admit that they themselves were at fault. Dope & pill peddlers/users cry the most, but crooks, hoods & other shitbags are a close second: "Oh, they mistreated me! Never mind that I was resisting, fleeing, or have a long and ugly history of negative interaction with the law."

But traffic violators inconvenienced by those darned pull-overs, dipshits driving like idiots, running through signs & lights & ignoring the right-of-way & getting rammed for it - but crying 'cause it ain't their fault - can't be counted out.

Oh you'll hear all sorts of shocking, wicked tales of how awful they've been treated... just never the words "It was my own damn fault."

Heavens no. Mean ole po-lice.

So you going to tell us all cops are perfect and always make the right judgements? Heck the RPD had pedophile in it.It can not get no worse then that and lucky it was a sting cause he was charged also with luring. A cop luring a young kid now how sick is that?Any 10 accounts of pictures. That is sick.

not sure what any one can do now. it was last April and now I know why they wait a week before they'll give u the accident report. gives them time to make sure nobody important was involved and all the evidence to disappear. lawyer I spoke to seem to think so anyway.

I am so sorry it seems like the some cops are on the wrong side of the bars and the main thing is they cover for each other just like a gang. And in Richmond it seems like the cops can over write the judge which just blows me away. I live 800 miles away and had to go to court 4 times(Any court system would of thrown it out after the cop did not show up the 3erd time and he was subpoenaed the 3erd time and did not show up and if i do not show up i get a warrant) then 2 more time to get my laptop back. A officer told me he had my computer and to come up with the paper work from the judge that gave them 30 days to return it and when i went there he wrote on the Judges order it is still under investigation. He could of told me that and not made me miss 3 days of work and over $800 spent on just that trip and It took over 2 years from start to finish to get my laptop back not working. It never made it to a forensic lab.I have over 5 grand in a laptop that should of never been taking in the first place. People will say i am lieing and a criminal but now days you are guilty till proven Innocent.
I have people that was with me in every court day and when went to pick it up and was dogged. This is just a part of what happened but i am leaving that for when i come up.You can shoot this down but i have proof from people and a lot of stuff that should not be on my computer that is not mine.Nothing bad but stuff that u would have on your own computer.
I know one thing u get put in there you could be killed or hurt real bad and i know how that could happened.
After Doug and his thugs do a beat down they go down near booking and brag on who done what.I could hear my name being talked about where i was so i herd a lot of stuff.
just b careful if u come back. had a cousin shot and killed here in the 70's and was unarmed. cop was transferred to the London post as punishment. bad things happen in small towns

You sound more uneducated than the poster! UNEDUCATINGLY is not a word, apparently you aren't educated enough to earn enough for a smart phone with spell check. What the F? Who says that, certainly not a person with polish. Lastly what the F are you trying uneducatedly trying to say? Finish High School before trying to give grammar lessons. Actually make that middle school. Go back to stripping "baccor" or whatever your day job is!

Well, let me tell you my story, when I was 19, I was invited to a keg party, and this is my fault, I drank a few glasses of beer, and got inebriated. The party began to get wild so I started to walk to a pay phone to call a can. I was walking from McDaniel to the Shell, maybe an 1/8 of a mile. A cruiser stopped to ask me what I was doing. I told him my dilemma, he handcuffed me and took me to jail. I didn't have an identification on me, but lived a couple of doors down from a police officer, which I explained. There were 3 males and a female cops. They threatened to charge me with falsifying my identification. It was my first time in jail, I was already scared and being very passive to everything they asked if me. I was still cuffed, waiting to be fingerprinted and to have a mugshot. The female, who I later learned was a matron who had no right in the booking department, grabbed my hair and slammed my head on the counter, saying The cop I named was no longer a part of the force and to give my real identity. The male cops were laughing uproariously, while blood was streaming down my face. They put me in the drunk tank and told me to go to sleep. I used the water fountain to run cold water over my nose till the bleeding stopped. The next morning after my release I tried to make a report, but the department denied knowledge as to who the matron was, denied that anything had happened. I went to the ER where I was X-rayed and found to have a deviated septum. I called every number I could find, was put on hold, hung up on, told that there was no officer of the woman's description, even after I told them it wasn't an officer. After a couple months of this I have up. But I do tell my story every chance I get, because even though this was 12-13 years ago, people need to know that the police force here in Richmond think they are above the law, and the last thing they are here for is to protect citizens.
