Just wondering.....When will the school board announce the new superintendent? I was under the impression that there was a board meeting last Thurday night to select the new leader of the Madison County Schools. Does anyone know what happened?

There is no local person other than the principal of Madison Central and Mrs. Frazier being considered for this position. There are two others from other locations in the top running. Rest assured the people you have listed here are not even being considered.

The guy from Owensboro has been offered the position. His house was put on the market today. He is also a finalist in Jessamine Co and has withdrew from being a finalist there due accepting this job.
It's done....welcome aboard to another out of towner. |

He is Tommy Floyd's friend. Look who is still calling the shots. Looks like the board members really are that stupid. We come to Madison County we plan on making your life hell.

If indeed this is true this problem of seldom hiring local people began not with Tommy Floyd but with Mike Caudill. He believed in bringing people in from out of the county. He brought Mr. Floyd in and most of the others. That was the beginning of local people being considered to stupid to run this system in any position. You see folks the thinking was that if people with no local ties were brought in there was limited chance of them having community support, allegiance to anyone but him and it increased his control. That school of thought has continued right on down the line. Look around at the county and various positions and you will see that there are very few local folks in positions of any authority. We allow this to continue by the boards we put in place. We gripe but we don't run. We need to say nothing if we aren't going to run for school board. |

I can't run for school board as I have family employeed by the system. Of course I do think that Coyle does too. If true the the board hired Matthew Constant, I will be disappointed. They had a chance to make the faculty happy
And they did not listen. From my perspective this hire appears to be more of the same, another administrator who is from a top-heavy mindset and is looking for the next big job. |

Middle school dress codes do cause headaches for parents and schools. All we need are guidelines in what not can be worn and there will be less problems. Must wear belt, no logos, no short shorts and no spaghetti straps or tank tops. Then all will be happier...parents and kids especially. |

I know who the village idiots are. Mary Renfro and Debbie Shitcco. Mary brags on her Facebook about the appointment then is pressured by the very vocal and misinformed few and vote against. Then Debbie and her religious manners yells out objection because it cost money to advertise for an open position. Too bad they don't stupidity is not painful to them.
