I agree, we don't have any good ones, is it all right for an auctioneer to put his and other peoples items in an estate sale?

wouldn't care what he puts in an auction if we like it we bid, if not we don't. I like an auctioneer that knows his stuff & I have not attended one in Richmond with local auctioneer that fir that style. don't like one trying to be a comedian either. most estate auctions have much to sell. stick to business & move on. I am not there to be entertained.

I guess I'll be one if the first to say that I think Bogie is an all-around great man. He is very familiar with every aspect of auctions...he knows antiques and pricing, he knows land, history as applicable and more importantly wants to make money and does it in a honest manner. I have attended many of his auctions, talked to him prior to sales about certain items and never been disappointed. I have found this town and those that have not left it seem very harsh and are bias. I am an antique collector and travel many states for estate auctions, it was with my experience that I can say with full support and knowledge how refreshing Bogie is.

Weird? Some may think so and to each their own...hell people may call me weird and I them. As an auctioneer however, I do stand firm that he is very talented and great at the job.

Knows his antiques?? We must be talkin about 2 different Bogie's. He knows nothing about the good, finer antiques, If someone has an estate with the "good stuff", you're better to have some of the good antique auctioneers from outa state to come in and do it. Bogie may have acquired a little knowledge about antiques(at the sellers expense)Let me end this by askin who that old blond, pug faced woman is that works at his auctions? She has got to be the rudest woman I ever met. She sits at a table and takes your information before bidding.

Be careful. He will take a bid from someone behind you (that really isn't bidding) and jump the price on you.

it is ok to put other items in sale. what is NOT ok is to have someone jacking the bids up when it belongs to them in the first place.

What about when friends and loved ones think they are buying from the estate of a friend or family and it's only an ole used mower Bogie picked up and put in the auction, and I know that he does that, I say it's wrong. And yes bogie and all the rest have people running up bids, I have seen it, Doug Miller and his wife Kella are the worst for jackin up bids.
