Ministry? Looks more like a business to me. A high priced one at that. Maybe if you are home bound. But even then it is a stretch.
We buy in bulk from GFS and Sam's club, Uncle Charlies, then sale items at Krogers and Save a lot and the bread store on 25. We feed a family of 4 for a month on less than a lot of people spend for junk food for the month.
You must be getting a cut. People there are easier ways to save money don't fall for this.

I think its a good program....if you look at price per pound, its really cheaper than anywhere else...plus no waiting in lines, no running here and there and spending all of that gas.....

I've been watching this group as well. This is closer to whole foods than anything. This is the company that replaced the old Angel Food Ministries after they went out of business and they actually offer better, higher, quality, and more food than Angel Food did. A $28 box of their meat is now about $22 for me because of the free food credit I've earned from my group. This definitely works. This is an affiliate marketing program that works because it's considerably new, it's legitimate, and to be honest... who's NOT looking to save money on groceries. If you understand how this works then I, too, invite you to eat cheaper, even free as well.

The grilling box is high. If you think about it the cost averages 4.00 to 5.00 per pound. I can buy better by watching the sales at kroger, walmarts, meijers etc...Walmarts match prices so if you are really thrifty you can get everything at one store and save gas money too.
The family boxes contain to much chicken and chicken products. They need to have a better variety of meat. THe old angel food have more variety. But I didn't like thier meats that much. They were not very tasty and they were tough.

The steaks in the grilling boxes are top quality. They are truly some of the best steaks I have ever had....

I read that Angel Food Ministries were shut down because the owners were caught embezzling (sp) money. I hate that too because their food was really good and affordable. The steaks were the best.

I have checked out the Gaballi "replacement" and the closest pick up to me is in Richmond and Im in East Bernstadt so thats a bit of a drive just for food. Im sure its good quality but Im not willing to pay their prices. To me they are more expensive then Angel Food was and by the time Id have to count in my gas with prices as high as they are I dont think Id be coming out. Im not knocking anybody on it though because for some ppl it may be a good deal depending on what you are used to buying.

I havent checked out the Harvest site yet, not even sure if they are in my area but I will check and see.

Yes Im still sulking over Angel Food Ministries being shut down because I had come to rely on them for the bulk of my groceries. Its HARD to get my husband to eat anything! It has to be "just" perfect or he thinks hes too good or something. I could always get stuff from them that he would eat. So yea! LOL get over it I guess!

Welp, your "organization" is not in KY so it does me no good. In fact its only available in very very few states. Why? and WHY are you even bothering to post in a London KY forum when its not avail in KY?

OneHarvest is currently distributing in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth) and Virginia.

You should only be posting in those forums because nobody is gonna drive from KY all the way to those states just to pick up food or if they do they are stupid

I like this. I might order and see how good the food is. I'd rather order my food than spend the gas and deal with the grocery stores. The prices aren't too bad either.
