I, Ted Ranshaw, have had some pretty bad experiences with Honda vehicles. I purchased a Honda Element from Valentine Honda and they would not perform accessory installations on my vehicle. Note that these were honda-made accessories, but they outright refused to perform the installations. I'm a very powerful man, so money is not an object. I could buy and sell Matthew Valentine, and I don't appreciate the attitude he is instilling in his workforce. I walk with a heavy limp, and I overheard a sales associate at Valentine Honda call me a filthy hobble-legged cripple. If that's the attiude people residing in London, KY have then you can all burn in eternal flames.

Adams Pontiac is a good dealership. I just bought a used Mazda truck from them. I think I got a really good deal, and I would buy from them again. Stay away from Valentine Honda! I was very unimpressed with Valentine and would not buy from them. When I went in their showroom, a guy was pounding a piano the whole time I was trying to talk to the salesman. Neither the salesman, nor the owner Matt Valentine, said a thing to the piano player to stop while they were talking to a customer. Stay away from Valentine Honda!

Cars of KY sells a lot of high-mileage crap that the new car dealers can't get rid of. You might get a good car, or you might get a POS. Personally, I've been screwed by them on a car before and would not buy from them again. I just bought a used vehicle, and I went to a lot of different dealers in Richmond. Toyota South is high pressure, and the lot lizards will bug you to death to get you to "buy today." Valentine Honda sucks in my opinion and doesn't value their customers. At Mann Dodge I had to practically flag down a salesman to get some service. Adams Pontiac was the best dealership I went to, and the place I ultimately bought from. Just my experience.

I've been to a lot of different dealers in Richmond when I was buying a vehicle a few months ago. I felt like I got a good deal at Adams Pontiac.

I've heard nothin good about Jack Buford. I bought my last car from jack kain but since they're not around anymore, I don't know who I'll buy from next. I guess it won't be Valentine's though!

We bought a used vehicle from Cars of Ky and have not had a single problem out of it. I know the family and would buy from them again. Yes they are probably vehicles from an auction and yes they may have high miles but most of the time they are interstate miles. All of our personal vehicles have high miles but I don't think that matters that much. Toyota & Hondas are the best.

Be wary of the "buy here, pay here" lots such as Cars of KY. They mostly deal in high-mileage cars that the new car lots can't get rid of after people trade them in. You're better off getting a used vehicle from a dealership that also sells new cars. Just my experience. I looked at almost all of the "buy here, pay here" lots up on Big Hill Avenue and I didn't see anything that struck my fancy. I guess buyer beware is the watchword when you're car shopping. Adams Pontiac gave me a good deal, and I would buy from them again.
