Not a fan. They serve Japanese/Chinese fusion food, used to live in Japan when I was in the service; they don't have much 'real' Japanese food. Sushi is about as good as you get this far from the coast, but the other dishes are very sub-par.

I'd rather just drive to Lexington and feel like I'm getting what I paid for.

Honestly surprised they are still open. Food was no better than I can cook at home for a quarter the price. Service was non existent. Won't be back.

Very poor service. Very pricey for the below average quality of the food. I ate there twice hoping it might improve and then found out that the owner hires illegals and houses several workers families in one small house he owns in an adjoining neighborhood that does not allow multifamily housing. A very poor neighbor if you ask me. I am going to boycott this type of activity in Richmond.
Sounds like you need a laxative.

Gotta go with Khins

I've eaten at Koto's a number of times. I've never had any problem with my quality of food or the service I received there.

However, they charge an arm and a leg for very little. Since discovering Khins Sushi over there by Hobby Lobby, I'll never be going back to Koto's unless it's for the Hibachi grill. Khin's sushi is literally 1/3 of the price of Koto's.

Seriously, if you don't feel like paying for the rent in the Richmond Centre and a Koi pond/waterfall, go spend less money on what you REALLY want at Khins.

i work at a resteraunt across the street...n i snuck around for a smoke break....when i did i saw the chefs preparing for a table....there was nats flying all on the shrimp...n scallops...n steak....i went there alot...but they just pushed their cart right on in and cooked that food...ewww
You must have some super l33t ninja skills to be able to walk all the way into the back, close enough to the restaurant to see that it was scallops and steak. Trust me, the way the back of the restaurant is set up, that would be impossible. You're a liar, and bad at it.

We go there every chance we get!! Easily the best Japanese Hibachi Grill (even better than the ones in Lexington!!!)!!!

Went here on way home from Perfect North. Amazing food. Great chef. Great show.
We usually love the soup. But seemed a little bland. Everything else was awesome

Why would I give $100 for 2 meals when I can cook the exact same thing at home for around $20?
