Don is a jerk and a crook, people who work there are good people, but the franchise should shut Don down, he is hurting the brand name. He sells cars there like a used car dealer. He screwed me on a car deal and lied to me repeatedly. Don't trust him on any car purchase deals.

Holy cow. Thats two words that come to mind. Listen ladies. Goto any parts store and get the parts that you want changed. Preferably the lifetime warranty stuff. Around 30 bucks. Bring the car to me and i will put brakes on all day for 30 to 40 bucks a car.

Had my boyfriend call them while I was at work to get a quote for a brake job after already buying the parts ourselves, they hit him up just $150. It sounded reasonable enough so after work I took my car & the parts there by myself, where they then upped the price for me to 258 by a man named Don who had an almost New York sounding accent. He also tried telling me WITHOUT looking at my car that it would be needing struts soon also. Im a young woman & they tried taking advantage of me so I would like to warn all you ladies of these crooks at Meineke...spread the word.
I would have done it for you for only $25

What is Don's last name? Does the franchise know that he is still selling cars at the store? Does Richmond zoning know that he is selling cars at his house?

Thanks for being helpful with Ur comments about Meineke. NOT! Too much damn personal drama that has nothing to do with their quality of work. You Waco idiots know I mean you! A sincere Thank you though to the few of you that have offered helpful advice. I appreciate it. I was planning to buy my own parts and never thought of a mechanics warranty being affected.

I am a 45 yr old male, been around cars for 35 years.
I went there and inquired about some mufflers and the installation.
He quoted me $300 for 2 mufflers that sell on eBay for $45 a piece, and I guess he wanted $210 to weld em on.

Complete rip off. Won't be back.

Never go to that location! Don will rip you off. He wanted like $1200 for front and back brakes and rotors. I purchased all the brakes and rotors for less than $150. He must of wanted $1050 for labor??? hahahaa. Does he think he is don Jacobs bmw or james motor company Mercedes?? I wouldn't let his drop out crack heads touch my car, instead I did the work myself. Hell don Jacobs bmw wanted less money than that for my bmw.. hahaa .. stay away from him...

I use Snow's Automotive, Wes is great. I found him after I was referred to him by several shops in town for diesel work. I take everything to him, he's over off Main Street in Richmond on Orchard Street. I wounldn't recommend anybody else.

Don sells rebuilt and water damaged vehicles right there at meinekee and I know that isn't legal and the franchise would have a fit over it. He's a slick New Yorker crook who thinks he's better than us kentucky people. He burnt me on a car, I paid a bunch of money for it and it came back water damaged title. He basically said tough shit. Somebody ought to report his ass. I'd never go back

Please read my review before taking your car here. Save yourself some time and money.

I was sadly disappointed with the customer service of this establishment. I took my car here and to Millers auto for estimates to use my Ktap services. Both estimates were pretty much the same except that Millers was fixing more for less. But no where on either estimates were problems with brakes. Ktap approved Meinekes and I got my car back in a week. Immediately as the car started driving an awful screeching noise started coming from the brakes.

Don the owner told me that the brakes had been "apparently" gunked with oil and they cleaned them because he said that he wasn't going to put dirty parts on a car.(I don't understand what dirty parts on the brakes they are referring to when I wasn't' getting my brakes fixed). SO, I come back the next Monday wanting better explanations.... And Don just plays complete stupid with me. I maybe a female but I'm not stupid. He played the classic I'm going to do the switchroo and act like I was trying to pull a fast one over him.

I am a customer who brought my car in for an estimate before I got it fixed, if the brakes were a problem why wasn't I informed about it before they touched it or why wasn't it on the estimate in the first place. I am a mother with twin boys and all I wanted was a safe ride for my family instead I got more problems, more bills, and a headache. If I trusted my instinct I would have gone back to Millers for another estimate and waited for them because they are worth the wait that's why their always busy.

Save yourself time because Don is forgetful so forgetful he forgot how to practice ethical business. I maybe on Ktap but I graduate from EKU this semester (yay me!) and I feel that because Ktap was paying for my car to get fixed was the reason why they screwed me over because they know they can get away with it. But thats ok. Lesson Learned and Never Again.
