You may be right. But the differance is you are from Maryland, the men I met from Richmond had probably never been out of Richmond and only tried to act like they were from the streets of some large inner city (based on what they saw on TV). Wait I take that back, the men or "boys" I met did'nt even have the gumption to get out and get a hussle, they just talked about it. But I do apologize if I insulted you, that was not my intent, I was just sharing my opinion based on my own experience, so I am sorry :-)<quoted text>

I see white girls allow their man to walk all over them, be he black/white/puerto rican/mexican/asian. I have seen black girls allow their man to use them for a door mat as well, no matter the race of their man.

Ladies, there will always be scrubs in the world and they will come in every color of crayon in the box. There will always be sassy femmes that come in every color as well.

Why do we have to be a proud black woman or arrogant white woman? Until we stop throwing in the color label, the racism will never stop. You go to the movies and someone yells "Run white girl run!" when the villain chases after her. A white guy who can dance, you say to him "Ooooh get it white boy!"
If I was to shout out at the movie screen "Run Mr. Black man, run!" I would have to prepare myself for a physical beating. And I am sure there are things that "Whites" say in reference to a black person that are un-neccessary as well and we always hear about it on the news.

Dog the bounty hunter drops the N* Bomb and loses his show. The guy from Frasier and many others have face verbal persecution for using the word and yet the world never stands still when a rapper uses the same derogatory word in their lyrics. I do not think it is okay for anyone to use the word, regardless of their race.

Okay, enough with the soap box talk, sorry guys. lol

I agree with you to some extent. This is just my opinion. I think the reason the "N" word is so taboo with us coming out of a white persons mouth is because that word is tied in with 400+ years of history and was used as an oppressor/demoralizer! Various acts along with that word tied into it totally reprogrammed a ethnic groups thinking, values and the way they carried themselves and raised their children for an eternity! Blacks are NOT the only victims of this! Ask the Native Americans as well, they know how it feels and I'm sure there are names they call themselves but whites are not allowed to because it symbolizes a negative in history. Until white people know and understand U.S. History and stop saying 'can't we all just get along', no the racism will never die! And the only way they can know and understand is to go through it themselves because when you sit down and talk about it you can't really grasp the raw emotion/pain that has been dealt! I agree with the fact that black people should not say those choice words either cause we inturn are demoralizing ourselves, but if 'we' don't educate each other and know/understand what our long list of relatives endured then we as a people will never comprehend what we're doing to ourselves in the long run!

Well im white my family came here in 1913. We understand history real well. But that doesnt give the african americans the right to act like something is owed to them especialy if u was never a slave. Which u and ur parents probably wasnt. So to say u know what these ppl went through is way off base, just like it would be for anybody else to say it. I grew up in baltimore in the 90's where i attended a school where i was the minority. With our generation and the neighborhood i grew up in this word wasnt taboo, it was a word of friendship. Away of saying hi with out having to remeber the 5000 names of all the ppl that attended our school. Only the older generation took offense to this language on both sides. Sorry the younger generation where i came from didnt allow this to bother them, maybe u shouldnt either.

We are owed something that you would never understand, because you didn't have to here the stories past down from generations about how our great great great grandparents where treated, and each generation just gets madder and smarter, and since you don't know the horror stories, no one really gives a damn about your opinion. How would you feel if I tide you up to a post and beat you with a whip because I could. Would you like that?

It doesn't bother me sweetie, like I said I agreed with some of the points she or he made and I also said it was my opinion! People are going to do and say whatever and whenever they want for whatever reason! You grew up in Baltimore (north) vs. Kentucky (south), there is a LOT more racial tension in the south than north. I wasn't slaved nor my parents or grandparents however I know what they went through in their lives because it was taught to me by them. My mother schooled me on what it was like to drink from "Colored" water fountains, use the "Colored" restrooms, to work in white peoples homes and take their dinner scraps/leftovers home to eat, to sit at the back of the bus and not make eye contact because you were deemed or taught that you were inferior! And I relate because as I was growing up there were certain things I was schooled to do and not do, until I decided no one human is better than me period. I had to change my own way of thinking. The 'N' word will NEVER be terms of endearment, no matter what anyone says! Just like I don't care to call white people Crackers, Honkey's, Peckerwoods or Hispanic people Spix's or Wetback's, it's negative! I know for a fact if I walked up to a white person and said "Sup Hoogie!" they would be ready to knock my head off, just the same as if the roles were reversed!! So don't even try it... I at no point in my life have felt that anyone OWES me anything other than MYSELF! I owe it to ME to make the best out of my life everyday that I'm granted another day in the land of the living! I get mine by working hard everyday and doing right by others, not by sitting around waiting for my 40 acres, a mule and a gun! Nice talking to you and good points made through out but I think we're getting off topic now (unless others want to discuss) so take care!

Really u think threats mean anything to me. Pal my family was destroyed in the early 1900s in germany. So do the math do u think i have the right of entitelment. The answer is no.Did u notice how many greats u had to use? So how should my family owe yours anything. They dont and to use slavery which was done away with in the 1800s by a "white man" who was born in this state as a reason of entitelment is sorry. Put on your big boy pants and get over it. There is nothing u can do, or i can do for the tragic ways our ancestors was treated. Yes i did have to hear the stories, watch them on tv, and talk to ppl that was actually in these places. So go ahead and cast bad carma on urself by doing the same things the "white man" does to u. Plz ur as bad as the skinhead down the street. Rember that people r scared of what the dont understand. Have a good day whipping boy!

I have been married to my black husband for 9 years. We have children and he's an amazing father and husband. He works 12 hrs a day to provide for us a comfortable lifestyle. I don't have to work. He is faithful, hardworking and a wonderful example to our son.

There is so much ignorance in this post from both races. Let me first address the person that says it's because the black man can walk all over her. Let me just ask, is that what you tell yourself to rationalize why you can't keep a man? I'm not living in public housing on benefits by myself. I think that's being dogged out to be honest. Or is that a choice? I'm not trying to stereotype here by any means because guaranteed there are more whites in this predicament here. But, this excuse is just that, an excuse! My husband, along with other black men have simply stated that they don't want to be disrespected, devalued, or unappreciated. That they don't want to come home from work and not be treated as a man in his own home. This doesn't go for all black women but this result is in direct correlation with black women having to be the head of household for years due to racial injustice. However, this has caused a shift in the roles men and women play in marriage or relationships. Therefor men, black or white, are going to go where they can be supported in being the head of his family. Now if that's getting walked all over because you cook dinner and keep a clean house for him while he's at work or because you greet him with a smile and a how was your day and not where the f u been then whatever. I've got the ring the man the family the house and the life I love because I take care of his needs and he takes care of mine.

Now, to address the backwoods honkeys trying to preach their superiority bs. You fools have no clue. Half of you sit your butts in church that preaches from a bible that says we all came from one man and one woman. We pray to a Jesus with hair like wool and feet like brass obviously a man of color. I pitty your sorry lil souls. It's been scientifically proven that all people of all races are but one race. The Bible does not even use the word race in reference to people, but it does describe all human beings as being of “one blood”(Acts 17:26). This of course emphasizes that we are all related, as all humans are descendants of the first man, Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), who was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27).The Last Adam, Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:45) also became a descendant of Adam. Any descendant of Adam can be saved because our mutual relative by blood (Jesus Christ) died and rose again. So why do you think you shouldn't mix races again? Race is only a convenient term used by people to divide. And division equals oppression. There is an obvious lack of education here because only ignorance could be blamed for such thinking. I think that those of you who would disown your own daughter for mixing made up races is like saying a tan person can't marry a pale person. And your love for your child is certainly questionable.

Big point here. Women respect and appreciate your Man. And Men cherish and care for your woman. It's that simple, whatever color skin you have. Stop all of the hate.
