Does anybody know how much an old 1954 Gibson Lespaul Jr #0000363 is worth now that we have lost Les Paul? I think it is one of the first ones he made back then. Still in good shape.

Now, you do know that the Jr model is far different than the Standard Les Paul model? And that any guitar sells far below the appraised value? Like,if it's appraised for $5000 the going price would be $4200... thats just an example.

I have been offered $2500,$3200,$5000, and $8500.oo for it from different people. From this I really don't know what it is worth. I don't know who to trust as far as the value of the guitar. It is a very nice guitar been keep in the case and cleaned once a year. It plays beautiful.

Copy and paste to your browser. It is valued between $8500 and $14500 on that page. As of 2007.

Bluebook on that guitar is probably around $10,000...I wouldn't sell it but if you decide to you could probably get around $8500 from a collector.

Well...I also have an original 54 Jr. that I bought back in 76. Used it live for a few years, then "retired" her to the studio since about early 82. Small difference of mine, is that back in 02 I brought the guitar with me to a visit with Les in NYC. Les signed it for me. His comment to me was at the time, "Jimmy, don't want to see this on Ebay"! I promised him he never would. Guitar is one of my favorites of my 20+ collection, registered with Gibson and serial # 4-4469.

The dad of a good friend of mine for 20 something years, finally decided to ,pretty much give me his 54 LP JR after years of asking him if he wanted to sell it to me.
It also came with the original amp that he bought new back in 54 .
I cant believe I actually own it now!!
I coulnt even think about selling it but I was just wondering what it might be worth.
I offered him 2000.00 back in 90 and no luck!!
Sure is nice to have friends.
