A man in the sky

So you all expect me to believe theres a man in the sky who decides our fate when we die? That one day the sky will turn into fire, a man will appear and sentence the majority if the world to this hot, dreadful place in the ground called "Hell".
That thousands of years ago a virgin had a baby, angels appeared in the sky. An ordinary man did things just as parting a sea, making blind men see and crippled men walk, and resurrected from the dead?
The world back then was no more magical than it is today. I respect everyones beliefs but i get tired of people looking at me like I'm the devil incarnate when i say i just dont believe it.

The part I like the best is,if you belong to the right cult, after you die you will go to a golden floating city in the sky.

You are wrong. Unfortunately, by the time you realize it, it may be too late.

If you weren't stuggling with this issue you wouldn't pose the question.

We live in a very troubled world of unhappy people because people are searching for something. They don't know quite what but still they aren't happy.

Why not look at various groups and ask yourself which of those you are observing seems the happiest, most content and at peace with their life?

While it is only my opinion I believe the comment

Every knee will bow.

Gold seems to be worth a lot, even in heaven. I wonder what the going rate is and if people steal it?

"If you weren't stuggling with this issue you wouldn't pose the question." If I pose the question "why do Muslims fly planes into buildings," does that mean that I'm "struggling" with whether or not it's a good thing to do?

"Every knee will bow." You'd like to have power, that is clear. You'd want to force your beliefs and inflict your sadistic perversions on everyone. But you only have power if your fantasy world. Pathetic.

I didnt create this post to put down anybodys religion, and i do have questions. I used to beleive that jesus was the son of god and accepted him as my lord and savior but as i grew up i became the kind of person who beleives more reality than myth.
This is what i beleive: a mixture of science and a higher power. Science put us here, theres a higher power that gave us theintelligence to accomplish all the thing we have as a human race. Although, im not sure that higher power is a man named God whos going to come back one day and pick and choose who he want in his kingdom and who he does not. I beleive the bible is an incredible collection of ancient literature and reguardless of what you beleive, you should read it. But i do not believe its "The word of God".
I say a prayer with my son every night. Not because i beleive in the power of prayer but because i feel it is good for his soul, such as wishing on a star, or beleivening santa claus. Also bc i dont necssarily want him to know that im not a beleiver. I dont want my religious opinions to affect his. He wont be able to decide if he beleives in God or not if he never knows anything about him.
I really think its great for people to have religious values. It gives you hope and something to look forward to at the end of the road.
All im saying is i wish i could be more open about my own without being looked at as an athiest, or a bad person.
If there is a God and he is good....why would he send me to hell? I am a good person who stands up for my convictions. I have good morals and values, i do not lie, cheat or hurt people. And if theres a heaven, why is that not good enough for me to get in?

Why do you have the attitude you are posting? I certainly acknowledge you have every right to your opinion, don't other people have a right to theirs?

I believe that there are some Baptists that have left instructions to cram their pockets full of money when they die so they can bribe their way into heaven. They did it in life, why not in the after life.
