How do you get to the video link? My family lives near Madison Manor, and I have yet to hear what was going on there completely.

I was a nursing student at Madison Manor and I can tell you what you see on that video is not nearly the extent of what happened there. The residents were treated horribly, especially by a certain aide- I cannot remember her name but she had very long black hair, glasses and looked like she may have been Cherokee decent. She beat the crap out of those old people. We turned her in over and over and nothing ever happened.
Armeda Thomas was a very sweet little old lady that had alzheimers, as her disease progressed she became harder to deal with because she was always confused, her family noticed she had several bruises and put a motion activated camera in her room. It showed the aides jerking her out of bed, eating her food, allowing her to lay in the floor for hours. This happened there all the time, but worse. Armeda was one of the nicest residents and look how she was treated. The ones that have no family visiting and could not tell were the ones that were abused the most. There was one resident that had over 20 falls with injury noted in her chart, she did not fall the aides beat the crap out of her, broke several bones in her back and her ribs.

One of my high school teachers lives there. Mrs. Lathrop. I pray she's OK. She was the best teacher I had.

I worked there for sometime. Seen many things turned in many things got into many arguments with many different aides over several differnent things such as always putting that residents refused thier food when in fact they never tried to feed them because there would be no food on the silverware or containers would still have lids and deserts un opened several times I caught the aid/nurses eating the plates of residents when they would put refused by residents.

that was my first job as a cna. i seen alot of bad stuff there. its the reason i quit. i would cry several times when iworked. that place is about time not quality of care. it also not only had sorry cna's that had no heart or work ethics but everyone was fucked up and let trhins go under the rug even the so called registered nurses and don's i wish that place would get shut down. it makes me feel bad to put that place on my resume, i love the elderly and want to go back to the home but it's just hard to do your job when it seems your the only one who cares, starla fish is a piece of shit so is catina wagers

I always had a sofy spot for the elderly and would go there to visit rooom to room to say hello, give a hug, and let them know someone cared. Some have no visitors at all and I would not ever want to imagine my last days being in that place. I noticed the workers never seemed to genuinely care about the old people there, it was just a paycheck. Some would be dying of thirst and I would go out to the nurse station to let them know, but now that I think about it they never did bring any water as I went room to room. One old lady was was in a condition where she couldnt pick up her water cup and when I gave her a drink she sucked it down. I would love to go back and check on everyone again like I use to but I have little ones and cant make it out much

I worked for Madison Manor as well and who ever you are sweetie u must have been one of the lazy aides that couldnt get it togethr. Personally Catina worked at Madison for many many years and has a heart of gold and cares for each and every one of her patients, as far as Starla i dont know her that well but the short time i did work with her she was an angel to the residents. I Have seen her even buy things for residents that didnt have. i never had a bad experience working with either of them.

What the video tape revealed was heartbreaking – Armeda was helpless as nursing assistants physically abused and taunted her - pulling her from the bed by her wrists and neck - and even failed to feed and clean her. The tape resulted in an investigation into “injuries of unknown origin” on a total of 17 residents who, like Armeda, were cognitively impaired. That investigation led to a citation by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services against Madison Manor for not adequately investigating the patients’ injuries.

I would like to correct you on the comment of Catina caring for each and everyone of her patients they are not patients they are residents this is their home .REMEMBER THEY ARE RESIDENTS NOT PATIENTS.........
