Refer to the context. That's important.

Still don't know what post you are referring to. But most of the time I don't respond to them because they don't address me.

When's the last time you saw a Mormon acting that way. Seriously.
So I could accuse you of setting churches on fire with that same mentality?

We will never know. I believe it was meant to happen the way it did. If not, and they did eventually figure out how to multiply, and death was never introduced, think of the overpopulation problem. Plus we could never return to live with our Father.
When ya look at it that way, I guess you got a point. Yer a right fart smeller. Natural selection and evolution was the better plan over the inevitable and unimaginable hell of overpopulation and immortality. Thanks God.

Actions still have consequences. He gave them 2 commandments. They could only follow one.
If they didn't eat of the tree, they would have lived forever, but alone. Because they wouldn't know how to procreate. Eve was tricked into eating of the fruit, so she would be cast out. In order to fulfill the second commandment of multiplying, Adam had to go with her. So he ate the fruit. That means the consequence if death and living outside the garden was in effect.
I don't know if God is omnipotent. I think He has to abide by some eternal laws or He loses His status as God. So to us He is, but what if God is subject to His Father? Something to think about
Wow, hold on. You do realize that speaking about God as anything other than perfect is absolutely NOT Christian, right? Christians must have a perfect God in order to have a perfect Bible. Without a perfect Bible there is room to doubt anything written in it. And once you doubt it, you don't go back.

If you think God is some kind of celestial space dude and there are others more powerful than him they why in the name of Odin would you devote a life to worshiping him?

To hell with that noise! lol

So you'd rather insult (poorly) than rephrase your question in a sensible fashion?

Okay, tsunamis (and other natural earth occurrences) can, do and have been known to cause suffering.(see a geology book)
The suffering suffered due to such catastrophic natural earth events, has been known to be eased for some, by seeking spiritual guidance (probably not found in most geology books).
Red Herrings however, might more likely be better studied from a book of "Ichthyology" rather than geology.
Is that better?
I think you're dodging the point.

The point was the Problem of Evil. If God is perfect, which is exactly what Christianity claims, then he would be able to stop a tsunami from causing suffering.

Yet he does not do that. He allows it. He also allows children to be raped, murdered, and tossed down wells.

So how is God perfect? If you think about it from a rational perspective, the events that take place in this world appear *exactly* as if there was no God involved.

No He doesn't need our help, He just wants us to learn while we are here. He commanded us to work. We will never learn responsibility by expecting handouts. Wow, that's starting to sound politically familiar.
They say that idle hands are the devil's workshop. I can think of more than a couple politically active folks that got rich off of other peoples' hard labor that seem to exemplify that, for sure.

Considering none of the words are accurate, it matches your normal posts.

Your name calling still reminds me of 6th grade.
You remind me of a bully I knew then. His name was Massengil.
1. Because he wasn't good at being a bully either
2. You seem like a douche.

<quoted text>I'll lay off since it seems you have your hands full right now. It's not from lack of experience tho, I prayed a lot and asked God for simple things. Dad to quit drinking, mom to quit pawning me off at the Kingdom Hall/church and just little wishes kids ask for.

The difference between us is if I find a twenty dollar bill I don't thank God for giving it to me, I feel sorry for the guy that lost it. Prayers don't work and you can't move a zit even tho the bible claims mountains.
I mean you haven't experienced the power of prayer working for you. I have. I can't deny it.

And believe it or not, I'd feel bad for the guy too. And if possible, find him.
