I worked at romper room. They violate so many laws but no parents will turn them in. Lisa, Jenny and all the workers do drugs at the daycare!! I have seen it. Jenny Tackett even had her daughter arrested in front of the kids that is wrong!! Drug addicts!!
I've worked at the Romper Room and I know several who are still working there that do not use drugs. Most of the teachers who were using drugs are no longer there. The Romper Room may have a bad reputation, but even though I no longer work there, I can say that there are teachers there who work hard and want to actually rebuild the reputation of the daycare. I would be very selective when you say that all employees are doing drugs.

She is not a psycho and she does have a college degree. She should also sue you for slander because she is a wonderful person that loved all of the children. The daycare is not the same without her.
ABC employee: Shawna got fired and it was a big secret and no one was allowed to talk about it. But then I heard that she lied the entire time about having a college degree, and that's why she was FIRED!!!

MY DAUGHTER IS MY WORLD AND SHE HAS BEEN THERE FOR 2 YEARS AND WE HAVE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH ABC. SHE LOVES IT AND THE STAFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD WITH HER AND WITH ME. IS IT PERFECT, NO, BUT UNLESS SHE IS WITH ME, THERE IS NO PERFECT SITUATION.

My son has been going for almost 5 months and i am really not impressed. My child has been sick almost every week since november and when u asked them about refunding some of my money for the days he has to miss they said they dont refund anything. Im paying them for my child to stay home with me. Multiple times ive gone to pick my son up and his teacher is texting or looking something up on her phone. I recently caught her getting her story mixed up and telling me 2 different things concerning my sons pull ups. Just like others have said....these daycare workers see it as a paycheck. I am seriously considering switching daycares.

My child now 12 started out in another daycare and then went to ABC. I found them to be much better. None that I know of refund any money, you pay and use them if you wish but if not you get nothing back. Some of my friends that teach even have to pay a summer deposit for their daycare to hold a spot for fall. As for being sick this is what happens when your child is in any day care. Working moms just don't have a choice and when kids are in groups like this they are going to catch stuff.

Believe me you can change all you want but it won't be any better and I can assure you the things offered will be less plus you will loose your spot.

Leaps & Bounds is absolutely wonderful! My son was in an "in-home" daycare and he wasn't happy when I picked him up, had a dirty diaper, and never napped. He started going to Leaps & Bounds in October and he LOVES going to daycare now! I am no longer worried about him not being taken care of while I'm at work. He actually smiles when we pull in to drop him off in the mornings. They are in the same building Bluegrass Christian School was in before. If you'd like their # I would be more than happy to pass it along to you.
My kids where also in a previous daycare (abc) and hated it my daughter absolutely would cry her eyes out every time I would pull up! I was referred to leaps and bounds and it is the best choice I think I have ever made! Both of my children's face light up and are so happy when I pull up to leaps and bounds now!

If you feel you child is not getting quality care, the. Don't talk about it on a form while your child is at a facility that you think is casing harm. You have other options for daycare as well as a right to protect your child or have you forgotten? It's your responsibility to ask questions, tell the girls in the room to call you if something is wrong. You can even call and check in on your child. You should ask to see videos of anything you have questions about. You signed a contract and have that right. Protecting your child is your responsibility and I would never leave my child some place I felt was questionable or unsafe. So my question to you all is what kind of parent are you?

Before your child attends, read the rule book, ask questions and be aware. Daycare is run different than at your home. Every child has different needs and you must be aware that children learn to lie. If they see a reaction from you that will favor say getting a treat or toy, they will lie. If your child was hurt, starved or mistreated, why did you not ask to see the video or talk with someone.

College students need experience and I know that they hire girls with interest in early childhood education. They must do training that is state required and undergo TB test. If anyone is suspected of doing drugs, they are sent to be tested and to protect that person, this is done in private and the employee is either terminated or told to keep this information between employee and employer. All employees should be aware to that they signed a contract and should not be adding fuel to the fire of anger parents. IP address can be accessed and traced. This is something that has never changed.

I am sorry you all feel negatively about how ABC was run and is currently. You should speak with them and not Topix.

I currently work at ABC Daycare and I ensure anyone who wants to put their child in a daycare that ABC Daycare is the place to go! I have worked in other daycare's before and this daycare is by far the best I have ever seen. The teachers really care about the children and go out of their way to help the child grow and develop. Yes, college kids do work there. But, everyone of those college kids are some sort of Child Development or Education major. They are going to school to work with children for a living!

Shawna has made a big difference over the years. She works very hard to make sure all employees as well as parents request are followed through. If you are unhappy you should leave and make a change in your life. I am not sure if you could have been hired by Shawna if you are this type of a person.

Its called text short hand retard. Are you saying I should enunciate for you. Are you so simple minded that you can not understand abreviations. I am actually highly educated with three years of college, four years of childcare experience and two years of childhood development. What can you say about yourself?
If you're so highly educated then why on earth would you use the word "retard"

Hello! I work at ABC Daycare. I have to say I love my job. I am working towards a degree in child development and I am excited every single day to come to work. I apply what I learn in class to my job and I can see so many changes in the little ones in my room every single day. The parents trust me as well as the other girls in our room and have even asked us to come to birthday parties, etc. We not only try to teach the children things they need to know in preparation for school, but we teach them about being good people and loving one another and most recently, taking care of their environment. I understand there will be times when parents may be unhappy with things in regards to their children, that's just part of being a parent. But I want others reading this to know that we do care about the children. A LOT! I go home thinking of the kids, spending my paychecks on things for the kids, and even try to buy new shoes/etc for those who are in hard spots. Please don't judge us all by a few bad comments. Some of us really do care :)

My child went to ABC for 6 years and we absolutely loved it. i took my son out recently because i was having behavior issues that we couldn't straighten out. the teacher and i would talk on a daily basis trying to come up with new ideas, but nothing worked, so i took him out and put him in another daycare where he can play all day after school instead of having to stay inside and the change has worked wonders. all the teachers that my son has had has genuinely cared about my son and because i was a young new mother, a lot of them have given me advice about some things. i absolutely loved that place and it broke my heart that i had to take him out. it really is a good daycare and i don't have anything bad to say about it.
