I recently enrolled my child in ABC Daycare. I paid the $145 ($115 for the week plus $30 start fee)on his first day. He stayed that day from 8am until 12noon when I picked him up because he would eat for the nursery workers. No one reassured me that they could handle my child and get him to eat. They seemed relieved that I was taking him home. AND, they will not refund my money. I offered to pay for the 4 hours he was there and let them keep their $30 fee, but they won't do it! This is my first child and my first experience with daycare and I am very disapointed and frustrated by it! I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. The administration was very nice when they thought I was another $115 in their pocket each week, but turned on me when I was no longer a client!

File a complaint with the BBB; you'll get your refund.

They are very sketchy to begin with and have an increasingly bad reputation growing around Richmond. Be GLAD you didn't leave your child there longer than you did!

I am extremely sorry this happened to you, there must have been a misunderstanding. I know that the staff at ABC would never intentionally do anything out of the best interest of a parent or their child. My husband and I have always been so pleased with how ABC daycareís staff has treated our two-year-old and us as parents. In the last 2 years we have seen her grow and develop so well with the help of this facility. I donít see how they could have an increasingly bad reputation when I hear and see first hand so many great things about the environment. I hope everything works out for you and your child.

UPDATE: I was not upset with the care they gave my child. He is just a fussy baby, so I understood that he wouldn't eat for them. I was just upset that they would not refund some of my money. BUT, they did end up giving me $100 back, so I am pleased! Thanks for all the input!

Leaps & Bounds is absolutely wonderful! My son was in an "in-home" daycare and he wasn't happy when I picked him up, had a dirty diaper, and never napped. He started going to Leaps & Bounds in October and he LOVES going to daycare now! I am no longer worried about him not being taken care of while I'm at work. He actually smiles when we pull in to drop him off in the mornings. They are in the same building Bluegrass Christian School was in before. If you'd like their # I would be more than happy to pass it along to you.

My husband and I are very satisfied with ABC Daycare. Our children have been at ABC since they were 6 wks old. THey are now 8yrs and 2 yrs old. We have watched them grow and develop over the years. We would not take our children anywhere else or feel comfortable doing so. THe environment is so friendly. THe staff really go out of their way to help anyway they can. I really do recommend this daycare from my own personal experience.

how convenient the last posters ID is from Georgetown, KY and the post sounds almost identical to the one above from Georgetown... Coincidence? I doubt it!

I wasn't pleased with the tour of ABC Daycare when I was pregnant. I was greeted by a woman in a tank top and jean shorts. She had tattoos on her leg, not small tattoos, but LARGE tattoos. There is NOTHING wrong with having a tattoo, but she introduced herself as the Asst. Director. There was nothing professional about her, there were college aged students in every room...it just seemed a little shady to me. Needless to say they didn't make my short list of daycare's.

I not only had my children enrolled but worked there as well, I would not send my most hated arched enemies fleas from his dogs there. It was nothing but a scandal, too many kids for one teacher or even worse way 2 many kids in one tiny lil room, and when they get tipped that state is comin they shift and shuffle kids around like they a deck of cards.

I have a child in the Kindergarten class at ABC. His teacher is WONDERFUL! I have seen my child learn so much from her- not only the normal things like letters and numbers, but other important life values, like using manners and having respect. His Kindergarten teacher in public school even asked me where he had been attending daycare because he was so advanced when he began the school year! You really missed out on a special teacher by pulling your child out of ABC after only one day!

Its called text short hand retard. Are you saying I should enunciate for you. Are you so simple minded that you can not understand abreviations. I am actually highly educated with three years of college, four years of childcare experience and two years of childhood development. What can you say about yourself?

I have a masters degree in Education. And I would never comment on a board using shorthand, it's tacky. Thanks!

U are wrong on that cause there was an assit dir with tatooes on her leg. I use to work there and quit do to how it was run!! To many college kids that didn't give a crapt cause it was a pay check to them and still had party time. Because ABC got back all the money they paid out to college kids they could get by with murder.....!!!!!
