I wish Fred Ballou would run again. Probably too late, but he'd be a good one. Maybe next time, Freddy!

I'm very upset with the current ones who voted in favor of putting in apartments on the corner of Lancaster and Barnes mill. I will be voting against EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM as I do hope to influence my friends to do the same.

Kudos to the current commissioners. I'll be voting for all four again. They, along with Mayor Barnes, have been fiscally responsible. They immediately removed those dreadfully annoying & dangerous speed bumps. Yeah! For the life of me, I can't imagine anyone making an argument that 15 undeveloped acres next to the university shouldn't have use not associated with the school. Their reasoned unanimous decision in the face of selfish opposition was courageous, in my opinion.

We elected these commissioners 2 years ago, rejecting an incumbent slate that long pandered to to their own self interests, to make the hard & sometimes unpopular decisions. They have done that. They deserve to be re-elected.

Some of these same people complained loudly when John Lackey wanted to put a bed and breakfast in his home. They managed to stop that and now I bet they wish there was a quiet b and b there. Live and learn!

yep.

They also fought & defeated a Highland Park type townhouse proposal several years ago that would have attracted EKU employees & retirees. If I remember correctly, that proposal had a residential count of about half of the student housing project that was just approved.

I agree. A very courageous decision. A refreshing change to have commissioners who look out for the welfare & benefit of all, rather than themselves. I'll be voting to retain all 4.
