Is there anything that can be done to a resident of a home inside a neighborhood just outside the City has trash furniture and junk thrown around and leaning up against the house to make them clean up?

People move out of town to get away from people like you. If you don't like it then move.

We have the same problem out here. There are two houses as soon as you enter the neighborhood that will turn your stomach. Children live in those homes and if the INSIDE is anything like the outside they need social services to remove those kids. We've thought about calling several times but would rather not have to do that if its not the case. We just want them to clean up their crap! A little pride in where you reside goes a shows a LOT about you and the kind of people that there.

Yes, you can call codes enforcement for the county. Don't let up, bother them constantly until they deal with the residents.

I've had problems myself keeping the yard picked up and mowed. Sometimes people go through things that make them feel overwhelmed so something has to give. Did you ever think that maybe there is a reason? I bet you wouldn't even think to take the time to get to know the people you are talking about, much less find out if they have a problem. It's not always laziness. Sometimes, the problem is deeper than that. But I'm guessing you'd rather just complain...

Times like these you need good neighbors. You complain on them. They don't call the cops when they see someone breaking into your house. It all evens out in the end.

Help with anything? They need help alright. They are adults that come and go. Looks like they have garbage pick up but if only they had the decency to show a little pride in their home and respect for their fellow neighbors. They can pick up trash that is scattered thruout their yard and the crap thrown up against the house and throw it in the garbage. That poor little dog stays tied up outside 24/7 without water and food most of the time. Begley Drive. You cant MISS it when you pull in the neighborhood.

I've been interested in the country ordinance also. I also live in the neigborhood and its an eye sore and to know kids live there in that filth.
Its so sad. You don't have to make a lot of money to be thankful and care for what you have.

Talk to your other neighbors, get a community effort going to assist the neighbor in cleaning up their property. I know I wouldn't turn down a neighbor that wanted to mow my lawn or fix the shrubbery bed for free.

Or keep driving by it and complaining on an anonymous message board and do nothing.

Long story short, this is still the land of limited freedom. That limited freedom allows one to trash their county property as much as they want at least until they quit paying property taxes...

Call your local Heath department... if they don't get it done call Frankfort. They will be made to clean it up! You don't have to clean behind a bunch of gorillas. Call social services for the kids living in filth.
