Does anyone know if Dr. Malik is a good doctor? By good i mean caring, compasionate, does he listen to his patients, does he allow them to be a part of their own care plan? Does he believe in medication as a part of treatment or is he strictly for injections? If anyone has any information on this physician please leave your opinion, because im trying to find a doctor thats compassionate, caring, who has good besides manners and believes in treating pain!

No, he is not compassionate. He is the most hateful man i've ever met. I worked there a total of 6 weeks.

He is all about injections and that is it.

He is rude and disrespectful of his staff.

My advise to you is find someone that is willing to listen to you and go over a treatment that is fitting to your needs.

Malik has zero bedside manner. He is all about making money off patients anyway he can. Drive to Lexington and you will find 100 doctors better than him. Previous poster can back me up on this one, I am sure.

Thanks so much for giving me the above info! Im sure im not the only one, but I can't stand a disrespectful doctor...it seems like physicians who aren't compassionate with no bedside manner makes you feel worse when you're in pain...they make you look like a liar, so yeah I can't deal with trying to "prove" my pain to someone who doesn't care about their patients!
Thanks again, it means alot

I was sent there for pain and he is a real jackass. Runs people through there like an assembly line. Makes you feel like crap for being in pain. Very rude. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. He stands right outside your door and talks about you like you can't hear him. He has no compassion for anyone I don't think from what I saw and experienced.

WOW!!! My doctor is wanting me to have the epidural injections and other things to better control my pain and suggested this doctor. Im not familiar with physicians who specialize in pain management and I feel so lost now...I don't know what to do or where to go! I've got insurance through my Husbands Job, so if the pain clinics are considered speacialists then my copay is like 30 dollars...but from what i've read not all pain management clinics take insurance do they? Is there someone you could suggest I try and get a referral to that may take insurance, whos compassionate and isn't disrespectful?

i used to go to dr malik.. only say him once then i was handed down to his pa named mike. mike is a quack. he was more concerned about someones age and just because they were 25 they shouldnt be in pain. he said i was to young to be in that much pain when my mri said diffrent. i had gotten into a bad car wreck a few years back. the bottem of my spine was replaced with stainless steal and rods. mike said that i shouldnt hurt as bad as i was sayin i was hurting. he wanted me to take injections 2ce a month and physical therapy 1 time a week and was just writing me 1 loertab ten per day. he was so loud and let everyone know your business when he came in your room to see you.

Awful experience. Shoved injections down your throat. Even though I had already had numerous injections. Dr.James in Lexington is a wonderful pain management doctor. Best if luck.

I have dealt with so many doctors in the last 12 years that I can tell you they have their monents. They have been so slapped from DEA that poeple that really need the meds for legit pain can't get help and the ones that have none can get everything... it makes me so mad and ill. Age has nothing to do with pain or illness. If so are they going to deny babies help and old people????
I have had injection numerous times they don't help because they can't judge how your body is going to spread it. none have helped me at all coz my pain is not in control. But i have been going to spine and brain in lexington and they are begining to help control my pain. but as for the ones who are truely suffering from pain... god bless you and I pray for you. No one knows your life of pain until they walk your shoes!!!!

I had my first and last injection from Dr Malik's office. I had the injection for a broken back, it hurt like h*ll and did not do a thing for the pain.

Nothings wrong with injections... I was wandering it was my first visit to a pain clinic. I found out my answer from him first hand and hes nothing but a Motherf****r i told him a mouth full cause he tryed to call me a liar and my dr so i told him to call my dr and my dr told him that i had nerve damage and carptunnel and the dumb basta** wants me to come back to him and made another office visit for me.. i love the fact that i was able to prove to him that I have a dr that cares enough about his patients to prove that what he says is wrong with them

He is a joke. I have rec'd for over two yrs oxycodone 15mg four times daily and when my clinic closed and moved, my fam dr suggested we try him. He talked aweful to me and yyes, pushed injections, which i have tried and they failed. He then wrote me lortab 7.5, 2 times daily. Now, you tell me if that worked considering my past medications, lol, HELL NO> THIS DR IS A JOKE

I worked there for one year and Dr. Malik is so rude to his staff. He and the manager talk badly about employees behind their back to other employees, and make staff feel like scum beneath his feet. I would also say that instead of drug testing some of the patients, he needs to focus on drug testing a few of the employees! Dr. Malik does also talk very much crap about patients right outside the rooms- and he isn't concerned in the least about helping the patients he's all about money!!! Good luck. You can find better!
