I have been trying to start a daycare, also i have worked in daycares, and you are right most of them are nasty and they dont care about kids. to most it is just a pay check, but for me it is a way a child can grow with knowledge and memories.you take someone like me who has ocd on cleaning and caring for kids I cant get my foot out there to get started.GOOD LUCK EVERYONE TRYING TO FIND A GOOD DAYCARE!!!

Are you still babysitting?

You could always consider a private babysitter instead of daycares. I've babysat in my home for years and I think personaly that its the better option. One on one everyday if ur looking for pre-school learning.

romper room is an excellent day care. The director is very knowledgeable about all aspects of daycare. The place is very clean. I highly recommend it. I have 2 kids there and no problem whatsoever.

Harvest is the only daycare that I can recommend. They took care of my children as if they were their grandkids for many years. The owners are both pastors and are great people. When school was about to start she bought ALL of the school kids new shoes. These people really love what they do.
My children have attended several daycare centers and AbC is one that I wouldn't even take my dog to. They let my child fall off of a changing table. Then when confronted about it....they lied. Long story short I watched the video. I should have sued them. But I'm not that type.
......aman to that mrs.connie n her husband..mrs kathy...mrs brenda all great ppl. My daughter went there from the time she was 1 1/2 til she was 7 and she n i loved it. I tried romper room first stay far away cindy the director is a joke! Harvest is by far richmonds best daycare n they also have pre k classes for the 3/4 yr olds. U will be happy with them.

It's all a little confusing. I'm so scared to put my child in the wrong place. Does anyone know anything about Star Kids Academy? Or does the church on Lancaster and Main St. still have a daycare? I'm seriously losing sleep and worried about where my child should go.

Kidz Konnection is a good place. It's in the Lexington Road Church of God. They are really good to the kids there.

I'm interested in finding out more I do about Kidz Konnections at the Lexington Road Church of God. I tried to look on their FB but not a lot to see. Does anyone know of anyone that's taken their kids there? I think a Christian based daycare is great.

I'm very disappointed. My daughter's pediatrician said it was one of the best and most recommended in Richmond. :( it's very hard to trust just anyone with your children..

Has anyone tried Kids Kingdom at Lake Reba or Kidz Konnection at the Lexington Road Church of God? I don't really know anyone that has kids in daycare so any "good" information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dependable, and attentive.

Is this someone who has experience with kids there or is this the owner drumming up business? This is a serious question-not trying to be a smarty!

I've heard there are several going to LaFontaine.

I would love LaFontaine, but do they go year round for younger kids (age 3 and under)? Some parents can't take off when school is out in the Summer.
