I hearing a rumor in town that this business will close in the next few weeks. I am not shocked by this rumor.

I think that the rumor is a fact about this local business. The winery and restaurant are both for sale. It is a shame, but this business will be closed within weeks.

They are open, I just had lunch the other day! They did fire the chef, I was told. Anyway, just wanted to clear this up. Obviously dude was wrong about them closing back in September. Oh, and hey, now that the chef is gone the food is fabulous! That chef musta been a total waste of their money. Get the hotbrown-the cheese sauce is better than my mothers, and that's saying a lot:)

Interesting. Someone I know tried to go to the restaurant last Saturday afternoon / evening and it was closed. Are there limited hours of operation or what?

Was at winery Sunday April 28. Arrived when restaurant opened at noon for lunch. One other group seated just before us...no other diners there yet there was a table in front of window with dirty glasses/dishes. Entry foyer floor was littered with leaves, etc and extension cord ran across floor from outside thru entry area to inside restaurant. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive but menu very limited! Hot brown was good as we're house made potato chips. Sad to see this restaurant declining, have always enjoyed dining there when visiting Richmond. Hope someone buys it with better management skills and brings it back to the way it should be

Acres of Land winery is open and will remain open. so many rumors out there about bankruptcy and the sell of the business which none are true. The owners put faith into someone that was stealing them blind. the chef and general manager. Robert sharp and Joe kephart. not to mention the chef was doing more drugs than anything. I talked to the owners just today and found out they stopped dinner service but are still offering a wonderful lunch and the amazing wine. the comment about the over price is totally wrong because if you have ever had good wine it ranges between 15-20 a bottle. you much be drinking two buck chuck. lol!!! my daughter was just married there earlier this year. so don't always trust what you hear...

Their wine is terrible. 2 Buck Chuck is better. And box wine is better. It is too sweet, not aged enough, really awful.

If their wine is so bad, how come they keep winning awards? Could it be that you have no clue what you're talking about? Hmmmm.......

I had lunch there over the summer. They just slapped it together and threw it on the plate. They couldn't make a decent BLT. Cheap, STALE white bread which was falling apart. I almost laughed out loud I was so embarrassed for them. I don't know what the big deal is about the wine. It's too sweet and not very good. Our waitress was distracted and didn't know shit about a very limited menu.

They haven't been able to afford to "enter" any wine competitions....and that's why, if you will look a little closer, you will see they haven't "won" anything since 2011 laugh out loud

Ok, I'd love to know who's runnin that place now, because nobody up there seems to know. Piss poor management and their servers and bartender seem to they are there to play, not work. Very unprofessional, no regular hours, and laughing at your customers complaints so the customer can hear you is completely uncalled for and rude. Hopefully this behavior is the kiss of death for them so that place can get a new owner and a second chance.

They should turn that place into a comedy club, because it's a joke. No regular hours-they open and close when they feel like it. The foods hit or miss-sweet chili with a bitter after taste DONT YOU TASTE YOUR OWN FOOD? And the biggest joke? The owner and whatever fool she has in charge will hide in the kitchen rather than talk to unhappy customers, which must be all the time because I can't imagine happy customers are beating down their doors.
