Dating a girl who recently joined a sorority at EKU has me wondering, do sorority girls get pressured into doing "things" with frat guys? I know my girlfriend is committed, and we have been in a relationship for two years, but I wonder how sorority sisters treat a member who has a boyfriend. Please share thoughts or story's and be specific about the chapter.

Depends on the girls in the chapter. I didn't get pressured at all. My sisters welcomed my boyfriend into the circle. He went to all kinds of events with me with no problem. He wasn't in a fraternity either.

They are meat for the fraternities. Mindless drones that have to buy their friends to have that belonging feeling.

Well bud your girl will eventually become loose before you know it. The sororities here are all about the same, they all crave attention and a good smooshing. Several have already cracked our sweetheart, but who hasn't. Just as long as your girl keeps out of The "EZ" DZ's, Chi Ho, KD "Kattle Delta", AGD "A VD", or AO Pi (they are all gutter trash). Other than those don't sweat it the rest are so fat or skanky that even the blacks won't mess with them. In Hoc Signo Vinces... If you don't get it your girlfriend will!

People are responsible for their own actions.

If your girlfriend is pressured to behave inappropriately, the ultimate decision still lies with her and her alone. If she as a person is committed to your relationship and honoring that commitment, then she will. If the influences of her surroundings cannot easily be ignored, then she will take steps to deal with it, up to and including leaving the sorority.

On the other hand, if she allows any such influences to sway her, then she will ultimately have chosen to be swayed. Such would indicate that on some level, she does not honor your relationship as you do, and should it end as a result, she'll have done you a huge favor by demonstrating that she is unworthy of any more of your time (even if feelings are hurt in the short-term).

Ultimately, it all comes down to what kind of person she is, and how much you trust her. Her sorority has nothing to do with her decisions unless she acts on their influence, which will be her choice alone. If you cannot deal with that, then either know for good reason, deep down, that you cannot trust her... or you yourself have a problem with trust and need to work on it.

Dude you sound like a little beeyach! Most sororities require you to sleep with a fraternity member of their choice, because purity and virtue doesn't have any place in a sorority. Your girlfriend is already teamed out so don't sweat it.

most prey animals huddle in herds for protection, affirmation, and comfort, as they are alone unable to survive.

such are fraternities and sororities: surrogate families/herds for the weak, a showcase of sheeple who are incapable of forging meaningful friendships without some irrelevant pretext.

all the silliness therein is really beside the point. the fact that your woman felt drawn to such a thing speaks to an alarming lack of character and personal fortitude, and she should be discarded for that alone, if nothing else.

Oh I'm sorry you're so bitter. Sounds like you were cut from the bid list. Not everyone is fraternity/sorority material.

Kids here at eku are so stuck up. The frat/soror kids are even more so since they have a pack to validate their snobbiness.

I cant even walk past the greek dorms without some guy yelling "hey bitch, hey bitch!" at me out of his 10th floor window. As if he really thought i was going to stop and have a conversation with his dumb ass. Shows that the bar is set low for frat members at least.

i have never, nor will I ever, court the favor of any such organization, and am not bitter but pleased to agree: i'm not their material; i'm well above and beyond it, academically and socially.

not everyone's aspirations range so low as to relish belonging to the over-hyped and ultimately inconsequential clutches of ineptitude that are the frat/sorority scenes. that you would lend it any worth at all, much less assume bitterness on my part, is telling of your own limitations.

so congrats: clearly (and to my delight), you're definitely more their material than i. you poor, shortsighted, foolish little thing.
