It was a good yarn, but I don't think there will be a sequel... Unless you count the Book of Mormon (and really, that was merely the literary equivalent of a fan film).

But hey, it's whatever you gotta tell yourself to sleep better at night. If believing such things to be real benefits your life without interfering with anyone else's, where's the harm?

Me, I'm not a subscriber. I've outgrown the need to believe in a half-God, half-Jewish Zombie, who'll one day beam down from Heaven (invisible cloud-mounted palaces floating in the sky), taking all believers back with him, hoping that he'll explain some of the goofier inconsistencies that have plagued Christianity and its cousins ever since Reason began to conquer fear & superstition.

I suspect believers will only hear from their god(s) in much the same as they always have: Through the voices in their heads, the selective misinterpretation of real-world events, and wishful thinking.

You are entitled to believe that, if it helps to protect or solidify your delusions. Much kinder than screams of "heretic" or "witch" followed by a good old Christian stake-burning or stoning... Yay progress!

I suppose I actually would be a fool, if I honestly believed a few minutes of typing on Topix had any hope of correcting the life-long indoctrination and cultural embedding of these myths into anyone's psyche.

But that is not the case; I'm actually quite certain many of you will go to the grave, fully expecting to be magically re-animated as a conscious, ethereal entity of some sort, and be taken to an invisible place in the sky where all your meager mortal fumblings will somehow finally matter.

And I'm the fool? Sure. Whatever.

There are no "if", no hypotheticals, no maybe's to the return of Jesus Christ. He is coming back and he will be proclaimed King of Kings and Lord of Lords! When he came the first time he stood before Pilate, but, when he comes the second time Pilate shall stand before him. When he came the first time this world turned their backs to him, but when he comes the second time the world must bend their knees to him. When he came the first time he was rejected, crucified and placed in a tomb, but, when he comes the second time he will be received, crowned and placed on a throne. Ready or not, he's coming back!

You're an idiot. Sounds like you had a good ol fashioned brainwashing. But I guess everyone needs to believe in SOMETHING. Just sucks you choose to believe in a storybook character. Well maybe Edward Cullen will come and save the world. Or maybe it's gunna be robin hood. Or even tigger.

When he does come back, nobody will believe him. All of those magical feelings people get in church...there will be little if any and we'll all call him a fool. Every church...every denomination individually thinks that their denomination is the "right one" because they get some tingly feelings when the preacher is speaking. And they'll quickly shoot down others because they don't realize that every church produces those same feelings.

By the way, NOBODY really killed Jesus at his first appearing. Jesus said in John 10:17,18 "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. NO MAN TAKETH IT FROM ME, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again" Thank God He did! Jesus also said in Matthew 26:53,54 "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?" Those were the same angels Satan tried to use against him in Matthew 4 when he tempted him in the wilderness. The bible says "Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple. And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." Satan was quoting from the book of Psalms but Jesus endured and fought all the way to the cross. The devil tried to use the word of God against Jesus, but Jesus turned around and used the devil's own words against him. He'll do the same to those who blaspheme him. You can't go against "The Truth" and not be proven wrong.
Oh yeah, Taligimo, I'm not brainwashed, just bloodwashed!
