Why do Lexington police drive around Richmond? Seems like they shouldn't be allowed to drive their cruisers home.

They have home fleet and are allowed to do so. What is the problem with driving their cruiser home?

The Lexington Officers have to pay mileage to drive the cruisers to their house if the do not live in Fayette County. The city actually makes money on the deal.

I am not a 'pillhead' you wierdo! I simply asked a question. Thank you for answering my question 1whoknows. I am new to this area. I pay my little minimum wage job taxes and thought that it would be unfair for me to be paying for a police officer to be out cruising. But I apologize for the assumption.
