I am not letting this go.
You're story doesn't even make sense. Get a lawyer if you were so wronged. The more you botch about it the more ridiculous you sound. They were on your computer looking for illegal stuff. Drug dealers, child porn, bank fraud, theft. Nobody wanted you computer. Go try to get a lawyer so they can explain the law to you and what a moron you are. It will be free for the first visit.

Sorry, but as an active IT employee, It takes no personal files like the ones left on this posters system to verify if there is any illegal information on the machine.

Sounds to me more like they thought he was gone out of state and would not be back. Someone stole his computer, yes that is the term for taking things which you have no right, and either sold it or gave it to the other person.

But now they are busted, and with any luck, this will lead to the bad officers job dismissal.

We have laws for everyone. Even the police must obey the law. Though some seem to think they are the law rather than just the messenger from the people.

I wonder why we have not heard from the officer that stole this computer? If my name was all over this court of public opinion, accusing me of wrongdoing, I would work toward proving I was innocent.

I mean does this not make them look guilty?

I don't care. No one else cares. Solve it yourself instead of being on here spamming your nonsense. It is not interesting, it is not amusing. I hope that cop trumps up charges on you and you get locked away for years. So you will shut the hell up

This is not a "court of public opinion" Dear. While Topix is *open* to the "public," it is actually known and visited by a mere fraction of that public, in general. What you see here is not by any means accurately representative of the entire local populace. Most people never know or care about the insignificant, overblown dramas that unfold here.

At best, Topix grants a peek into the minds and concerns afflicting only the most bored and gossipy of locals, some dysfunctional teens, a few bored office workers with web access, a smattering of housewives with too much time on their hands, and a slew of unemployed people with welfare-funded internet connections that aren't at that moment preoccupied with hunting their next pill. Overall, I'd guestimate Topix readership to be MAYBE 10% of the population of this particular town, on it's very best days.

So no, the lack of acknowledgement of crap posted here equates to neither guilt nor innocence. It simply means that most people have better things to do. And by better things, I mean: Pretty much anything.

(Damn, now I feel like *I* need to go find something to do)!

(Failed to find anything better to do. Sigh).

It's clear that the complainant has no valid criminal or civil complaint, and has decided to engage in public and private harassment instead.

Were this complaint truly legally actionable, the complainant would have been advised by any attorney worth their salt to avoid engaging the respondent in any communication beyond the courtroom, as any such engagements render them liable to counter-claims and a potential criminal charge of harassment.

The very fact that it's being smeared all over Topix instead of handled through legitimate channels, to the informed reader, should be proof enough of how petty and almost certainly illegitimate the complainant must be.

Then again, how many critical-thinking, informed readers actually visit Topix?

Listen you inbred pieces of crap. I am not the poster of this story. I do find it interesting as I understand how corrupt the police can be if allowed.

Now understand this. If YOU don't want to read this, then don't read it. The only way it can appear on your screen is if your ignorant ass clicks the link.

I swear, the mothers that fail to educate their kids and allow them to grow up stupid like the posters here is just plain sad. So stupid, on May the 12th, Mothers day.... Tell your mother she failed miserably with raising you. She should have spent less time high on crack and more time on making sure you were not being raised ignorant.

Now I feel bad for your attitude, and hope you seek medical help as it is never to late to learn. Plus think how you can rub it in when you get to tell your mother you finally made it beyond stupid.

Good Day.

Well for what it is worth. I find this interesting because it puts in light the police in the area that are failing to obey the law.. These fools think they are the law, rather than the messenger and number one taxi driver for the law. Police are paid to enforce the laws as written. Not input their opinions, feelings, mannerisms, anything they believe. They are to go do the job and keep their comments and opinions to themselves as there is no place for their views, on the job.
But the police department does not pay real well and that leaves those positions for the lesser intelligent people in the first place.
Now add with that poor education, low pay, bad hours, and having to deal with the public all day. I have no problem understanding why they do as they please whenever they can. They are just barely better than the criminals, definitely not friend material or invite to parties and such. Best to be avoided whenever possible.
