I never had a chance to know him. He and my mom divorced when I was very young. I have a few pictures from the 70's, but that's it. Glad to hear he had people who cared about him. Even having never known him, I am deeply saddened to hear of his death.

He was a very good man and my dad thought the world of him. I am so sorry u didn't get to know the man that he was while in KY. But I know u have talked to my dad and he will tell u any thing u want to know. Be safe on your trip up here and I hope he will be able to tell u something before u come. If he finds anything out I will let u know on here when i find out myself.

It is so sad for you haveing to find your dad this way.It seems he had a lot of friends who can tell you a lot of good stories.I know if Clyde Lakes was his friend then your dad had to be a special person. He was a friend of my brothers from childhood untill Pete died.Clyde will not turn his back on you if he likes you and you do not have to be a christian for that to happen.I pray you can find some happy memories for a closuer. To have find your dad the way you did showes you did care because you must have been looking for him.Good luck and God be with you for this merical of finding your dad.

this is awesome , as I have said before Charlie was a good guy and although he had passed away before his family found him , they did find him and from people that knew him found out that he was a great guy and would do anything for anybody , I know there is a difference in knowing somebody and just hearing stories about someone but in all honesty a lot of people knew Charlie and a lot of people liked Charlie he was a one of a kind guy and he will be greatly missed by many people including me , Charlie Harris as I knew him may you rest in peace you are gone but believe me you will never be forgotten
