This is Hu Flung Dung.

Yes, several places are hiring. It depends on what you are looking for, what your skill set is, etc.

However, Kroger, McDonalds, Wendys, Pizza Hut, White Castle Wal-Mart, most car lots, trucking companies, nurses, nurses aids and assistants, etc.

Look at www.indeed.com for a start.

Thanks for getting motivated to be looking for a job. That's great.

Try Kroger. Both in Lexington and Richmond. Very flexible schedule and not a bad place.

Look at local companies websites, go to stores and apply... can guarantee that you aren't going to find anything on topix. ACS is usually hiring for their mailroom....

Most places have you apply on a website, but I suggest also going in to speak with a manager.

Jackson's restaurant on third st is hiring servers. No alcohol is served so you don't deal with the late hours. I saw the sign when I was in there eating the other day.

If your looking for a job around here the only people ever hiring are fast food, nurses, and military. Ain't that some shit. If your looking for a future get as far away from here as possible.

I happen to live in Richmond and waitressed through college. There is wonderful money to be made if you have the personality for the trade. My family and I make an above average income for this area but perhaps that's because we actually work and don't sit around waiting for a handout. Bad attitudes typically produce less than desirable results. My advice to you "Carrie" is to find a job that you enjoy that fits your needs while your focusing on your education, whatever that may be.

Thank you so much. I am all about working and making my own money. I just moved and would like to get a job that I can enjoy but also make decent money. Thanks for your optimism and honesty.

You could always open up a massage business. I'm up for a massage and will pay well and we'll both have a happy ending. Leave a post on here and we can work out the details .

ACS is ALWAYS hiring. Requirements: no felonies and at least a GED. They put out an advertisement about 2-3 weeks ago on the news (not sure which station) saying they needed 200+ employees.

Another place similar that hires pretty much anyone that walks in the door is Amazon. Same requirements.

Good luck!

Who is the stupid one? You really think that they hire retarded people to take care of people with disabilities? That's like the blind leading the blind.
