Here is a great idea.

We should give lie detector and drug tests to the people on welfare.

Now get off your lazy butts and get to work.

I would like to start by saying that I agree 100% with drug testing in order to receive any kind of government assistance. However; not everyone receiving this assistance is lazy. My husband and I were doing really well when he hurt his back and is now no longer able to work. About a month after he was put off of work bc of his back I lost my job also. We are currently receiving assistance while I look for a job and try to take care of him and our kids all while doing my required 30 hours of volunteer service. I'm not lazy; I'm very rarely not on the go....with a disabled husband and 2 special needs children and 30 hrs vol work plus job searching every day you don't get much down time! It really bothers me though; that I am doing every thing I can to get off the assistance and feel so stuck; when there are those who don't have the other obligations and scheduling conflicts bc of my family members health issues and seriously important need for good health ins for the same reason....they could work any job but they would rather draw checks and food stamps to sell for pill money. It makes me sick to my stomach that people could care so little.....Okay; that's my rant.....back to the basic point; I agree. There ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE DRUG TESTING in order to receive assistance.

No one is ever going to do that. then tax payers would be footing the drug/ lie testing bill. i say make more jobs. raise min wage and cut out assistance all together... unless its for elderly or disabled people & children who really cant work. everybody else needs to be working and paying taxes!!

They should make these people quit cigarettes and chewing tobacco. Those things probably cost more than most illegal drugs, and are more deadly.

all of you are fucking idiots...it's high time to end the welfare state and the police state...soon the people who believe in liberty, personal responsibly and FREEDOM from an oppressive government will rise up and reclaim our great nation...then and only then will the descendants of the people, the brave people, who founded this country can move forward and return the united states to it's former glory...and those who don't wish to work will starve...I wish all my brothers and sisters all across the country well...keep your loves ones close and your powder dry.
