Halls on the River

Has anyone been here since the new management took over? I went about a week ago. Thought they had shut down, but turns out they indeed have not. The experience was bizarre. Food wasn't that great, service was okay, the manager was strange. He came to our table, made us feel very uncomfortable. Usually, from my experience at restaurants, management will check to see how you're doing and then be on their way. We had some issues with the food. He had the kitchen send us new food, which is fine. He lingered at our table trying to talk to us for almost thirty minutes, while we were trying to have dinner. When he finally did leave, we heard him scolding our waitress. The problem with the food wasn't her fault, had to have been the kitchen. The food was over cooked. We felt bad for her, can't remember her name. It was a very uncomfortable experience, all in all. Has anyone else had similiar experiences?

It has not been a good place to eat and hang out for many years. I remember when it was so packed you could hardly get in on the weekends. The last time I was there two years ago was the final time.
The place was dirty and the food was not good. They just can't get it together.

I do not see how any of the idiots that have run that place in the last two decades have made a frigging nickel. This place was one of central kentuckys most notable dining venues. It is a shame that it seems that it will never return to it"s former glory.Turn it in to a bait shop\market.

I've wondered myself how they stay in business. I remember years ago when the place was packed and you had to wait for a table. You can drive by now on just about any day of the week and it looks like a ghost town. It really isn't what it use to be, which is what most people in this area are looking for, not new fancier food at more expensive prices. If they would just go back to the basics like it use to be, the place would thrive better. Is the place ran by new people?

Recently ate there and am not fond of the new menu. The food that I have loved for years has disappeared. We also had an "odd" experience, to say the least.

It seems as though customers are talking about "experiences", why would people who use to work there have anything to do with this post?
