I'm looking for a good church to attend in Richmond. Black or black and white mix. Baptist or non-denominational.
Churches other than FBC, St. Paul AME, Richmond Predest. or Elizabeth Baptist. Serious suggestions only please.

Why do you want to go to church? Is it the nice buildings? I know you will say no but lets think about this a minute.

Surely you are not just seeking friends. And there is no need to belong to a church to talk to Jesus and God. All churches do well is take up money, until they get enough, then they split, and some portion of the church leaves and demands their share for the new church. And the beat goes on.

Bottom line. Do you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior?

If you said yes, then nothing more is needed. If you said no, then I am sorry.

I'm just curious as to why race matters in church...if there was an all-white church, would that be offensive? Jesus loves all of us and if race is what you base your church attendance on, I don't think you're looking for the right thing.

Its important to feel comfortable in your house of the lord! Sadly enough their are white churches that dont accept biracial families and others that dont embrace families of color. Who want to deal with that while worshiping the Lord? It unfortunate but this is the evil of ignorance. I am a white woman and my husband and children are black and I have been made to feel very unwelcomed in a predominately white Christian church before. I have been to black churches and I can't say I have felt that way. But im sure anyone would want to feel the love of Jesus in a place full of Jesus lovers. Sadly it's not always that way.

You are right, it's not always that way. I think it works two ways though, even if you personally haven't felt unwelcome in an all black church. I just think race shouldn't matter but I agree, comfort does matter. If anyone feels unwelcome in church, regardless of the majority race, it's the wrong church. I hope this person finds the right place to worship but if not, please don't stop serving God. We don't always need church to worship. Happy Holidays to all!:)

Ugly inbred white devils must make a mockery out of such a subject. No they're not KKK most likely just looking for a real place of worship where cousins aren't fornicating and meth and pills don't come from the collection plate. Also white churches smell funny, like wet dog. Now go clean up your trailer Bobby Ray!!!!
